These are not real time updates. CIC is currently processing second week of August applications and cap for 2174 reached way back in first week of June.

The Cap of 2174 was filled in the month of May only. The last fee charged was of 30th May 2013 and no one whose file reached after 30th May was charged
The CIC updating their site after sending PER mail to the person.

My application reached CIC much before the cap was reached .. infact five weeks before the cap was reached ...

This isn't a good deal then.....why should we have visa for remaining validity months than a complete year after MR??
From my understanding then, one should apply for PP renewal as soon as it's expiry date tends to fall within the validity duration of visa itself.

i have same concern, my kid's passport will be retired in Nov 14, do u think i should also renew his passport? but according to country regulation, the passport can only be renewed 6 months before it is expired. currently i only finished ME last saturday, so i do not know when i got visa the kid's passport still has 6 months validity or not.
