Hi friends,

I have a bit of a situation here. The human resources professional who gave me my reference letter is on an indefinite medical leave and is unsure of her return. The mails forwarded to her are not being forwarded or taken care of by anyone else in the department. I recieved my medicals and completed them, paid RPRF fees.

Now, do you think I should contact CIC and update them with a new human resources personnel who can verify my employment?
I talked to my lawyer and she thinks it is not necessary at this stage of the game. Please share your suggestions.

I don't think your VO would verify your employment after they send you the medical request. All the verifications must be done already.

Your question was answered here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2013-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t146774.0.html;msg2702076#msg2702076

If you are looking for average number of days, it is 70 calendar days.

Hi, I don't think you should worry about this in anyway as your visa office would have done any verification regarding your application. Again, no one is indispensable. I am sure someone would have been appointed to support the personnel professional in her absence on medical ground.

Congrats Civeng :D.. :D :D.will update.

Spoke to our lawyers today and was advised that processing times run from the date on which the local VO receives your file (not when your application arrived at CIO). I might be wrong but I thought I had read on here that processing times run from when your application arrived at CIO. Anyway - I guess it makes sense that VOs can't list average processing times taking into account the time that a file was at CIO as this will be variable. Anyway - not a very positive post but thought people might like to know.

For us it means calculating Vienna's current average of 20 months from July instead of May :(

Congratulations to everyone getting good news! I am happy for you all (and only a bit jealous!)!

For once I agree with the immigration consultant. At this stage that is not necessary......they are only interested in running the background check on you to ensure that you are not a "risk" to Canada, after that they will request your passport. Now stop worrying and start making your landing plans. :D

Happy Waiting.

updating VO at this stage will only complicate your case, you passed this stage already.

Hi friendss.

I have a question regarding birth certificate...I know there are so many threads regarding birth certificate...
My situation is better known to Indian applicants...My wife's birth certificate has been issued by a "Mandal Revenue Officer" MRO, on a combined certificate showing residence, caste and birth... Does it work for FSW?
Only father's name is mentioned in the residence portion, and NO mother's name. Please share your thoughts if this certificate gonna work??
Thanks.
