DHL sucks! since sunday my documents ( Re-Applying) are in Hamilton -Ontario Anyone else sent his/her docs by DHL?

I am new to this forum, I applied on 9th JUly for NOC 1112. I still havent heard back and see the cap is now reached. I heard chatter on these forums that they only accepted applicants who submitted their forms by 28th May?

So would this imply that I dont have a chance now and they will be returning my application? or is it all speculation and I could still hold up some hope.

So to recap, application couriered on 9th July, no correspondence from CIC, no en-cashment on DD/CD, NOC 1112 Capped.... verdict?

After they leave Ontario, it will take 2 more days to be delivered.

Thanks , Yes this year you are unable to reach CAP . CIC will return your application file with all doc by regular mail , may be you will get 2/3 months later ( depand on your country ) . Hope for the best .

Hi Arash,

You may contact CIC via cio-sydney-search-enquiry @ cic.gc.ca . Please make sure to provide your Full Name, DOB, and UCI number. If you have not received your UCI, then try to call CIC first to obtain your UCI.

It takes 20 working days before you hear something from them. I sent a status inquiry email on Aug. 29, and just last night I received their response.

Further to my earlier quote, please see below, what the CIC manual says:

"In order to meet the minimum requirements, the applicant's skilled work experience must:
 have occurred within the 10 years preceding the date of their application for permanent
residence; and
 not be in an occupation that has been designated as a restricted occupation.
Note: At the time of publication, no occupations were designated as restricted. However,
current information, refer to the CIC website at:
www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp.
In addition, during that period of employment, the applicant must have:
 performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the


occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(b)]; and
 performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of
the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(c)].

Parliament will be in session on October 15,2013 , and they will enforce "Back To Work Legislation".
Since this is a legal strike and cannot be cancelled by any court of law. Parliament being the supreme authority can only revoke this strike.

PAFSO is very mean , they declared full strike the next day when parliament went on their summer vacations , they were anticipating that in pressure govt will accept their demands - where as PM has already indicated that " We will do , that has never been done in history of Canada , and it will be remembered by generations to come , that Canada can never be blackmailed by any one or held hostage"

as statistics shows, you have a very slim chance of making it to the cap, don't close your door for it till we'll know that it has really closed but, prepare yourself for the worst scenarion that you can't make the cut.

think of it on the positive side, it might not be your time but there will be alot of other opportunities that will come your way friend

both can be a good alternative, just review their reqts that might best fit your qualification standards.
