I called CIC for UCI number. But they are unable to give me UCI number. They asked me whether I live in Canada. But i resides in Dhaka.
My dd en-cashed at mid of August. Can u tell me the procedure for getting UCI number?

Your education has got nothing to do with your file rejected for NOC 2263. In fact education is not at all linked to qualifying under a particular NOC. Only your work experience with matching job duties/responsibilities confirms your qualification under a particular NOC.

Only your work experience matters. I f you have work experience of atleast 1 year under NOC 2263, you can qualify, provided you score at least 67 points in the scoring system.

Experts please quot if I am wrong.

Dear Friends today i got NER from CIC,Novascotia They wrote me that i forgot to attach checklist but it was there not at the beginning of my application which was placed at the bottom of all documents and the second reason is that at the time of application i was 35 years 2 months they gave just 11 points but i thought it was 12.finally they wrote me that my education is masters degree in science in Physics and Chemistry but my qualification doesnot match 2263 NOc

So good byee to u all supportive friends and hope to rejoin this blog next year

Further to my earlier quote, please see below, what the CIC manual says:

"In order to meet the minimum requirements, the applicant’s skilled work experience must:
 have occurred within the 10 years preceding the date of their application for permanent
residence; and
 not be in an occupation that has been designated as a restricted occupation.
Note: At the time of publication, no occupations were designated as restricted. However,
current information, refer to the CIC website at:
www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp.
In addition, during that period of employment, the applicant must have:
 performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the
occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(b)]; and
 performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of
the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(c)].

it seems to be a negligible mistake! don't be worried.
Actually the main problem is unclear and mistake-potent application forms.
despite I think they will overlook your fault, it might be useful to email correctly filled form to CIO.

Saleem sit and relax this is minor mistake. Now you cant do anything with this. They will not accept new form in email.

though I am drunk right now, I can say that you are safe if you have a PER. Do you have it? BTW, PCC is not mandatory in the beginning. Your local VO will demand PCC and I don't think that they will validate the POF at that time. Even I have done what you have done. ;D

What you need to worry about is the call from VO to your ex / present employers. I am worried about it coz, they have no clue what to say when there is a verification call. I know this coz, I have called them myself.

as far as I know, only a few percent of applicants will be contacted/checked for their employee.
However, this is officers routine duties! they should know that all employees are not familiar with this check.

I filled my spouse form the same way,filling my name in the space for applicant name. I think I should do that since I am the applicant and not my spouse.
Seniors do you thinks this is a grave mistake? Am already getting jittery.

Dhruba for noc 2263 u need to have degree in environmental science or at least a certificate course in occupational health safety doent matter even if it is distance learning certificate course. And then u need min of 1year experience as a health and safety officer.
If u have made ur application through some agency or consultant then it was their resposibility to guide you in right direction.

London VO does not send AOR. They send MR. We r waiting for MR. Different VOs r sending MR and Passport Request. But London VO is going in a very slow pace. I wish they will start sending MR soon.

I'm not sure they are slower than Accra visa office as they have just started sending MR to 2011 applicants only God knows when it wil get to 2013 applicants
