CIC is currently charging applicants who submitted their file in the last week of June, then they will start off with July & then August. Your application reached there on 25th August which is far far away from what CIC is processing currently. Even if i show optimism, I cannot be sure about the number of applications CIC would have received by the time they open yours.

For your information, this forum, as of now, roughly constitutes 28% of the total apps received by CIC. This %age might increase or decrease going forward.

2132 seems to be a hot NOC after the two capped NOCs. Since, you have already filed your application, I would not discourage you but rather give you a positive vibe that leave it to the Almighty now & hope that your application opens before the cap is reached. As for now you have no other option but to play the waiting game my friend. Cheers ;D

The L.V.O requested the medicals sometime at the end of year 2011 and asked to pay the RPRF as well. Later they requested the updated police certificates in July 2012 and asked to fill out the new IMM0008 forms. We submitted everything as requested by the L.V.O. After that there was complete silence for few months so I got concerned and tried to inquire about my application status couple of times and each time I received the same reply that background checks are outstanding. Now last month in August 2013 we again received a request to go through the medicals for the second time and they asked us to send the latest police certificates for the third time. The V.O has received the Medical reports and latest Police certificates this week. Now, I need to know what is going to be the next step and how long it will take to get the VISA ?? Thanks.

Unfortunately you are from a country which is under close scan for immigration purposes by many countries esp US and Canada.
As far as I know, the Medical report is valid for one year. One can expect to complete the Resident Visa process to end and land in Canada before the expiry date. In your case the Medical report has lapsed and hope that the second MR is the final step for getting into Canada, on the assumption that your background/name checks are through successfully. The visa should get into your hands anytime now..
