You also have no right to undermine the efforts of hundreds of professional aspirants on this forum. These forumites have helped numerous people and it is a happy, collaborative, helping community. Take your bitterness some where else. If you do not believe in the information on this forum or the spreadsheet, fine, no one is forcing you to believe that. You have no idea of hand holding that happens here and the forum has become integral family by now.

+1

This forum has no right to discourage other people who didn't make it to the CAP or still waiting to hear something from CIC.
None of the champion or hero members are Visa officers, immigration lawyers or consultants. Also, this spreadsheet is of no USE. it is based on assumptions and not the actual FACTS. Does it say anywhere on the website that the CAP is based on CC/DD encash? or PER email rcvd? NO !

The only authentic source of information is CIC.gc.ca

And by the way, all those who received PER emails there is no guarantee that their application will get thru. infact if they are dropped out in a later stage all the other completed applications will be considered.

You don't have to be an athlete to suffer from athlete's foot !
Members don't have to be immigration lawyers to advice on immigration matters !!

If you disagree, then you won't be passing your knowledge to your kids. You'll simply hand them over to educational institutes for 20 years.

With this thread and spreadsheet you see with one eye than rather be blind! What do you prefer, Popeye or Blind?

Dear forum members including Lamia,

I have just created a thread titled
Compilation of Landing Experiences

This is for the purpose of setting our expectation right on what we can expect in our initial days in Canada.
This wealth of information is scattered throughout the forum and I thought it would be useful if I could post them in one place.
Please note that this is work in progress.

Here is the link:

Good job Sinestra, thanks for compiling such valuable information. +1 for your efforts..

+1 for this!

Its absolutely right. No one means to discourage other applicants. Actually, I have an opposite impression. People here are very helpful, polite and generous. And try to keep a faith in success for all of us. :)

@sinestra - Thanks for your hard work. Now we shall start prepping ourselves for after-visa aspect in advance.

@hbushra - See!! sinestra doesn't yet have land in Canada to help on that matter.

Bro,

i dont think its necessary to show something to one who is already blind ...coz the person who can blame such forum which is serving more than thousands applicants/members (each other)without any hesitation...giving their best efforts to assist other one....really shame to those persons...

may god bless them with some light, with some treatment to eradicate their intended blindness... ??? ??? ???

The answer is YES, inform them about it, if you joined already, with whatever documents in support can be provided. You may want to note that you are already eligible in the NOC you are for processing, so this job reference may have no impact on your eligibility criteria, so there is no harm. Send all the docs, and additionally fill out the online enquiry form.

All the best.

Thanks Susan,
But i have seen many star and champion members saying straight NO to the applicants that their applications won't make it to the cap. As if they are immigration consultants. Are they?
The forum's intention should be to help other applicants and not giving false and inaccurate information.
the forum information are form experience of individual members
and I dont thing saying NO to the applicant (to be fall in CAP) is wrong. instead saying worng YES is inaccurate information.

Yes you need to inform VO about change in employment. . . .

I'll be joining a new company next month do I need to inform this to NDVO...? If yes... then do I need to send again all those reference letter, appointment letter, etc...of the new company as well? ??? ???
As in the AOR it is mentioned -

Let us know
If there is a change in your personal circumstances, such as the birth of a child, a marriage or
divorce, you must advise this office (see address, fax number and email address below).
You must also inform us of any:
1. Change of address, including change of e-mail address;

2. Change of immigration representative;

3. Request for withdrawal of your application.

Please suggest....

I got plenty of useful info from here which I wouldn't have known from my consultants..

1) I didn't know CIO can be called to obtained the UCI.
2) I didn't know about IVR.
3) When I was in trouble with WES-CIC Access, forum's input prompted me to chose the right pick.
4) I had no idea how and when ppl get PER, AOR etc.
5) Numerous other bits that helps me to stay on track.

All in all, this is forum is pretty far from being USELESS ...

Further, many members from this forum would get PR eventually and who knows, they may also build close personal networks once they are in Canada ... The point is, participating in this forum does help.

Thanks Vats.... Just got a bit baffled coz in the AOR.... three points are mentioned in case of any changes.... employment change isn't mentioned.... but will now surely send them the details.... :)
