Dear All,

My CC was charged on the 30th July and I haven't heard from CIC since then. I have tried calling them many but it seems they have no updates about the whereabouts of my file. The agent advised me to email to CIC with the application details so I mailed them about 6 weeks ago and I have not heard from them since. I just want to know if I made it or not so I can look at other options. This is such a waste of time and resources. I am stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Please provide me with your valuable feedback as usual.

Cheers and Good Luck to all.

Best Regards

Hi Harmeet,

I'm on the same boat. I'm 27th May applicant in NOC2147. My CC was charged on 1st August, but have not received any update from CIC yet.

I obtained my UCI via phone call on 20th August after receiving suggestions from forum members. Since then I called them twice, but they refused to provide any information, most probably due to security reasons (but they state they have no access to our profile which seems nonsense at all).

On 29th Aug, I sent an email to CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca in which I provided my full name, DOB, NOC, and UCI and inquired my application status. The automatic response states that they would reply within 20 working days which means 4th week of September!!! So I am still waiting... As soon as I hear something from them, I would share that with you and other friends.

In the meanwhile, if you have not contacted them by email, I suggest you to send a status inquiry email to CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca. Please introduce your fullname, DOB, and UCI, and explain your dates (App Received, CC Charge).

Wishing you and all other friends the best of luck ;) ;) ;)

I obtained my UCI over the phone. I was visiting the tracking spreadsheet very often in mid August when I found out that most of the applicants had received their PER's within 7 to 14 days after CC Charges. So I asked dear forum members and they gave me instructions to contact CIC via phone. I called them on 19th Aug and a nice lady provided my UCI by which I was able to check my ECAS.

Give them a call today first in the morning and obtain your UCI, then send an email to the address I provided, so they may provide some response within a month (20 working days >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( )

Having UCI in hand you will have some other thing to waste your invaluable life, just by checking your ECAS 10 times a day as I do ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I forgot to add something to my previous note, in the automatic response it is clearly mentioned that you have to provide your UCI:

If this is a request for case information, the responsibility placed on us by the Privacy Act to protect all personal information precludes us from responding using e-mail unless we are able to verify that you are entitled/authorized to receive the case specific information. In this respect, if you are the applicant and you provide us with your full name, date of birth, and a file number or Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) client ID, or you are a person to whom we are authorized to release information (written consent on the immigration file) and are able to provide the applicant's full name, DOB and the file number or CIC client ID, you will receive a reply by e-mail within 20 working days. If you are not the applicant or you are not authorized to receive the information, you will not receive a further reply to your e-mail. If you have applied within the last eight to ten weeks, we will not be responding to your enquiry- please ensure adequate time has passed before making an enquiry.

I think, If next CAP update is on Monday/Turesday:

0211 will be around 145-150
2132 will be around 130-140
2147 will be around 230-250
