Hi MSNAIR, I am also doing some research on this and have found one link where we can also get PCC done online from passport's office web site.

https://portal1.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/online/pccOnlineApp

Any Thoughts on this. Will it work?
Some time ago our good friend Adrenalineforu had posted this:

@ Sinestra and Bharat - PCCs are provided by PSKs (under Ministry of External Affairs) not Police stations. I was of your thinking before actually going through the process which is why I asked 2 questions to an authorized person in PSK, ND. Read Q/A in the last.

I can tell you of the story in Delhi PSK; not sure if same applies to Mumbai and Gujarat.
An additional commissioner sits in the PSK who stamps and provides the PCC after doing some techno-geeky on a computer. Basically, from what I understand, he accesses the central repository of the police records and upon finding no adverse information provides the applicant with two stamped PCCs. The fee was also nominal; around INR 500 per applicant.

When I was about to leave the PSK, the window person on the exit stopped me and asked me for feedback on the service quality and provided me a feedback form. Of course, the experience was awesome and process quick. This is where I asked the fellow 2 questions, to which he replied very diligently.

Q1) Why was I given two PCCs?
A1) It is a standard procedure. We understand you need to submit one for visa purpose, so the other one you can keep for yourself.

Q2) I thought I would have to go to Police station for PCC after this stage, but I didn't?
A2) If there is any adverse information found against a personnel or some clarification required, the addl. commissioner will transfer your request to the Police station in your area. Then the person will need to visit the police station to get the things sorted out first. Upon sorting out, SHO will issue a letter of No Objection and after that you'll get the PCC from PSK. This process will take long time.

Q3) Anything else here?
A3) Nothing. You are done here.

Same thing must have happened with my wife but I don't know (neither did I bother to ask) because she applied 2 weeks after me and she got it in 2 hrs. Faster than mine. (ladies do have some advantages, after all!)

Following is the extract from my PCC;
"It is certified that there is no adverse information against Mr.XXX S/o Mr XXX, holder of Indian Passport No xxxxx, issued at xxxx, on dd/mm/yyyy which would render him or her ineligible for grant of travel facilities including visa for CANADA."

Follow this.
http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/locatePSK/locatePFC

a) Locate your respective PSKs. (Ahmedabad, Mumbai, etc)
b) Register for an account.
c) Login and apply for PCC. Do not forget to go through the 'Document Advisory'.
d) No need of appointment for PCC.
e) Go stand in the Queue before the PSK opens or u'll be delayed for the day.

Hope this helps.

I have a basic question. I was eligible under NOC 2147 as I am working as Hardware Technical Architect. However, it's taking time for me to complete all formalities. I just went through the IELTS tests yesterday and seemed to have done just fine. However my ECAS is a bit delayed with the university transcripts just have been delivered.

Another piece of information is that my wife is also qualified under this program and she qualifies under NOC 3215 for Medical Radiation Technologists. She is preparing for her IELTS as well as has initiated ECAS through WES.

What I would like to know is that should I apply as soon as my documents are completed as myself being the principal applicant OR should I make my wife the principle applicant. The reason for this is that NOC 2147 might already reach it's cap. I am hopeful my wife's documents should be completed sometime by November. Are there any chanced 3215 will have seats till then? Only 12 seats seem to have filled up till now.

Also want to clear one confusion, the CIC website that shoes the current status of applications for the 5000 cap shows that under the completed applications column that "The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received as of May 4, 2013 is an estimate." Now does that mean that in September they are still opening up and completing May applications? If that is the case, then there is a very slim chance under any category for October/ November applicants.

Do tell me if I am thinking wrong, and sorry for asking too many questions!

Pls apply making your wife as primary applicant only.
Sorry for saying but...for your second question, your wife's chances would still be there as compared to your NOC.
Pls apply by your wife.

I checked my mail after a couple of weeks and the package is back.

Reason for return:

"You have identified NOC 1112 as the primary occupation to be assessed. All supporting documents provided regarding this work experience history was taken into consideration. The employment letters from xxx and xxx do not provide sufficient evidence that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties.

Therefore, I am not satisfied ..."

So I did not make a mistake or submit an incomplete application, they assessed my experience as a mismatch. Sorry, I wont be logging in here as the pages move too fast and since I have fulfilled my part of communicating my status and the reason for package return. Even when I had the incentive to read everything here, it was difficult! Wishing all of you good luck :)
Really sorry to hear this Reddevil.. Please do wait for 6 month until they open FSW2014 and apply again.. dont give up...

Dear Friends,

I am sorry to share the news that on the auspicious day of festival Ganesh Chaturti(Hindu festival) , I got a mail from my consultant that my application is returned back as the cap is full for 1112 Financial Analyst.Last 4 months have been a tough time.

CIC is a useless bunch of people playing with our emotions & wasting our money.

Streamlining of the process is required.

Earlier I have been in UK , Germany & Belgium on work permit but never my Work visa was rejected.

North America seems to be unlucky for me as
1) I had applied for Canadian Work visa in 2010 it got rejected due to some technical reasons (due to employers fault-salary was less.)
2) US L1 visa is rejected .
3) Canada P.R visa is returned back as cap is full.(My consultant & Wes delayed the process though all my documents were ready by 15 May 2013)

I thank all of the forum members for their support.
Shifting to plan B trying for Australia & making my spouse as Principal Applicant & then again take up IELTS & repeat the process & try luck with Australia

Thanks a lot for the support & help

Really to sorry to hear your bad luck, btw when did you apply ? Problem with visas is like a lottery, if you're lucky you get in and if not, you have to wait or not bother.

I spent 7 weeks travelling in Australia last year, 2012, if you like, I can give you some info on the different places I visited, if this helps you with your move to Oz. I have read about immigration to Australia, and its seems very straight forward and quick (I guess they have few applicants so the process time is quicker, 6 months or less?). Though fee's are expensive, but if its get you there, why not

Good luck.
