Regarding your birth cert, I think applicants from India are in a better posirion to direct you. I have read peopke using some secondary school certificate in place of birth certificate. I also feel that a sworn affidavit in a competent court will be acceptable but any document you are presenting must bear your parents name and where you were born.

Hello guys....sorry have been busy house shifting for the last week...and its still ongoing!!! So much pain!!!!
anyways just wanted to share an update:
we sent CIC an email enquiry...and after 20 working days this is the reply we received:
"Your file was reviewed by our office and an email was sent to you on 27 Aug 2013. Your file has since been transferred to the visa office in Singapore.
Thank you

Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada"
It says in the mail that the file is transferred to the VO....but did not receive any mail from SGVO yet...so does this mean i can move to the Blues party...or do I still have to wait for an AOR from SGVO?
