Unfortunately they will not contact you but rather may send the application back because they wouldn't be able to charge the fee as it is one of the criteria for the applications to be considered as completed, Payment! I am not expert in CIC matters but it happened to few fellow members here in this forum that due to inability to get the money they have returned the applications. I am not sure but may be if you have previous UCI by chance you can try sending the new payment form.

what is UCI?

It is a client ID and you may have it if you applied for visa or immigration before. If not, then try calling the call center and if they have assigned the UCI you may get it if lucky enough. Resend the payment form mentioning the UCI.

I informed that the previous CC has lost and my brother had to ask the bank to renew it so the previous CC is not available anymore. Do you think CIC will contact me if they can not take money from the account?

Pls send new payment form with covering letter to CIC ASAP by courier.

Also mention your last name, first name, date of birth, country of birth, email id, passport no, Your original application received date etc

Also email them explaining your case.

According to other members who had the ID from previous applications, it remains same. Just use your ID and other information you mentioned in application and send the new payment form with cover letter. Don't delay it. Good luck!

1. Does that mean I'm counted in the CAP?
2. how long does it take to get a File number?
3. what is the next step?

What is the rule to include in CAP? Is it apk receipt date or PER date?

If the CIC office was on strike, did anyone manage to get their application sent via courier? I mean, if they are on strike, how can someone sign for it if the office is closed, right?

Just wondering what would happen to those in coming applications if no ones there to acknowledge receipt? Plus, we dont know when they went on strike and when they stopped.

1) You are safe and within cap

2) Approximately 10 days after cc charge you will receive PER email mentioning your UCI and Application number.

hello guys just want to share. i have my UCI since last year for having previous aplication and received NER. this year i re applied, i always check my E-cas and always says nothing just my Full name and addres. Just now i checkd and found out another line with my Name and Showing In process. pls see below:

I havnt received my PER but im very happy meaning my application Passed completeness check. And im not expecting a returned application. God is really great. This is my 3rd application. My 1st application pre 2008 was affected by backLog elimination. Im very happy. Goodluck to all. God Bless

Your story is same as mine as I also pplied in january 2008 and was unable to make the cap in 2011. Anyways, Good luck for this year and hope you land in Canada soon.

what do you mean by cover letter? and which email address should I send the explanation?
