Question: my per email reads 'your application has received a +ve determination of eligibility ... But it also says

However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.

Is this standard lingo? Any insights would be truly appreciated!!

I have heard from the forum that Singapore VO, applicants does not provided any AOR notification...I m from Bangladesh..so cant go to Singapore now for this purpose... ;D ;D ;D

So any suggestion how can i update my marital status after getting PER..??

Salam Bro,
Dont worry much about this matter. If SVO does not give AOR within 2 weeks then you send them an e-mail(with last name, DOB, Passport No., your file number and UCI and of course when did you apply, NOC) and let them know that you got the PER from CIC. Later on explain them that you want to change some of your personal details.. i.e. getting married, new baby.. they will reply to within 5 working days inshallah. you can e-mail them here

The impression I got from reading the CIC newsletter and also from the updates that CIC post about the cap is the number of applications received and not necessarily those that received their PER.

Here is a portion of the newsletter from June:

On June 26th, 2013, CIC reported that just 65 applications have been received as of May 4th. Of these applications, the most popular occupation is Financial and Investment Analysts, with 28 applications received. The actual number of files awaiting acceptance at CIC offices is unknown. The program will remain open to applicants until caps are filled.
