Whenever I call cic and follow the options mentioned in this forum, a cic official picks up and tells me that you have right number but different section and forwards me to another section. The people in the new section tell that they do not have access to applicants outside Canada. Still not able to get any information about UCI through this number. tried three times with same result. I am May 31st applicant.

Any suggestions ...

My application reached CIC on Jun 26th for NOC 2174. When should i expect some news? I am in the spreadsheet and my mode of payment was DD. to date i haven't received any response. But i did call CIC and they gave me UCI number.

Has anybody heard about Quebec skilled worker program ? it has reopened as of Aug 1st 2013. And they will take 20,000 applications.

You don't even need to have a job offer. And they would welcome computer engineers/support engineers as well.
May be we can open a new thread and share our experiences for quebec program.

This brings in some hope for the FSW candidates who were left out.

You will definitely get on Monday , that is in between 9 pm to 4:30 am India time...

Just wait for 1-2 days , try on Monday.. I am guessing you can check online status once your file is transfer to local VO

Anyone can file for that but biggest change for québécois FRENCH LANGUAGE...

YOU MUST HAVE TO GET TELF EXAM CERTIFICATION N THATREQIRED ATLEAST 1.5 years study

Have you tried sending them an email? I am sure you would soon get your PER possibly Monday or Tuesday. Just relax buddy.

Dear friends,

I have received PER in my email today at 7:58 am (Alberta/Mountain time). My file will be forwarded to visa office for further processing.

Processing fee has been charged on August 1, 2013.

I wish everyone luck in their process and hope to meet with some of you in the prairies.
