Dear form members please suggest, what should I do.

I've just figured out, I've made a silly mistake. Sent photocopy of ECA instead of original. The left hand side of checklist says you need to send copies, and right hand says Original ECA which caused confusion. I know its mistake.

Personally I feel that DD is safer option ...

(I agree, and actually would have got one here in the UK had it not been for my bank saying 'oh yes sir we can do that in a fortnight for you'. Other banks are quicker apparently)

No, you will go through a lot, your luggage will be in the flight to Toronto, with you running on runway trying to catch the flight as the IT guy is running behind you with gunfires. your gal (or wife) will be inside the plane throwing dupatta out for you to catch, ... like any typical climax scene..

Come on just deposit, transfer, steal ..do whatever and file .. and get the hell out of the country where depositing 49k in case poses several risks to common man and billions are siphoned out by people in power...

I refered RBI site, further i am posting weblink which re-confirms that DD is valid for six months. Please read point no. 9 on given web-links..

Please clarify the processing time for application by New Delhi visa office. We come to conclusion that e-mailed template was in use during 2008-2009.

I suppose they have sent you the Old email template by mistake from 2008-2009 times.72 months definitely sounds impossible.

I sent my DD from ICICI bank and its written clearly for 6 months. Not sure why different banks have different rules on the validity.

I have send DD form Axis bank, there is no Expire date mentioned on it.
the strange thing is one representative of bank confirm its valid for 6 months and other says for 3 months only !!! ???
lets hope my application will be get clear form CIC within 90 days (for me its 27th August) to avoid this point .. . . .
