any1 from the forum who sent application later then send other missing documents/original documents ???and receive acknowledgement from CIC regarding other documents sent later and attached them with application?? and then get any news of CC/DD encashed??

I have send DD form Axis bank, there is no Expire date mentioned on it.
the strange thing is one representative of bank confirm its valid for 6 months and other says for 3 months only !!! ???
lets hope my application will be get clear form CIC within 90 days (for me its 27th August) to avoid this point .. . . .

All international DDs are of 6 months validity as per RBI guideline. So, don't worry.

Joe it is clearly stamped on it as valid for 3 months only. This is something that came to effect from April 2012 under RBI guidelines. ..India

International DD by default is 6 months. only if you request then the validity can be up to 1 year ( where you have to pay a small forward premium not sure which all banks charge this). but dont get worried.. all International DD is 6 months...

If Expire date is not mentioend than it should be valid till 6 month... Enjoy...

But if Expiry date is mentioend lets say of 3 months than that perticular DD is valid for that time only irespective of RBI rule of 6 month.

normally they dont have unless the banker has a DD certificate with validity print on.. either ways its for 6 months...
my Bro in law has taken a DD which he had specifically asked for 1 year validity ( USD )

Not Sure! I enquired with two banks (SBI and ICICI) and both said the validity is for 3 months only. I spcifically asked for validity if in International Currency, and there was no change in reply. This was the reason I unwillingly went for Credit Card route.
