Just got my UCI number, checked it at CIC web-site, same info.

My application was received at 29.05.13
Expecting my CC get charged in a week or two. Hopefully.

So, in my opinion, this message doesn't say much. They received your application, registered it, assigned UCI number to it, probably passed it further for eligibility review stage. If this stage will be through, then they will charge you and only then you can see your status at ECAS (and remember they only update it once a week on Tuesdays)

And by the way somebody asked here about phone calls problems, I had a same "cannot dial from you zone code or something" message, while dialing through Skype at CIC call transfer stage, but after a few attempts the call went through and I made it. Just try next day or try another messenger.

And ask straightforwardly for UCI number when speaking with representative, then you will be able to get it.

Some people there are nice and really trying to help you, some are just playing dumb-ass-auto-messenger and brush you off to the CIC web-site.
They have no idea, that you gonna make another 100+ phone calls till you get your UCI or something from them. ;D

Dear idima,

I am a 27th May applicant. I called CIC.yesterday twice, but no UCI found. Emailed them on 19th of July.

I am worried because I had a separate package delivered today with fresh DD as the original DD expires soon. Hopefully they should attach it to original application package.

CIC guys do not understand following terms
DD , they call it bank draft
UCI , they call it client ID
