Dear Seniors,
please advise.

I am an FSW applicant and applied under the 0211 category. I am holding a Bachelor of Engineering and an MSC from UK. I have seen many applications in the forum sucessful. Many congrats for this.

Can you please clarify whether you submitted your credential assessment for your Masters only or Masters as well as bachelors?

As far a my case goes I have only submitted my MSc credential assessment.

Please advise
 
I guess we cannot stereotype each and every agent.I used Matthew Iwama from http://www.skilledworkercanada.com/. Very co-operatives,always replies back to the earliest for any silly questions.
Most importantly he is so precise that he never cuts corners and the application is looked upon by three different people in his office so that nothing goes missing.
Also he is not overly priced and effective.

I also had poor image of immigration agents but after seeing the depth to which he makes efforts,i was impressed.

No date yet...Didn't get any official letter from them...I was told by my bank that they tried to charge my card on 17th july but couldn't cos of wrong expiry date...

Thanks for your responses. Yes I tried calling CIC thrice but every time the representative says that they are not authorized to access the information and that I should email. I sent email, but the auto reply states that CIC will not respond if I have applied within last 8-10 weeks, I believe it was 6 weeks previously as some of forum mates shared earlier. My Lawyer Campbell David Cohen is also not responding on emails, and I also couldn't catch the assigned manager over telecom even after various tries. I don't know if they are following CIC that much, they seem more focused in hunting new business through new applications and making money. My overall experience with these guys is not good at all. But anyways I will definitely call CIC yet again with hope to access information if I get in touch with some soft hearted CIC rep, else again wait time .............. :)

I guess I speak for almost everyone's experiences here with the so called immigration consultants, agents, lawyers, ... they are having two main duties to perform:
1. Non-stop followup for the payments.
2. Courier your application

And THAT'S IT.....

So, all who can not go to the courier guy themselves should go hire an "expensive" agent to do it for them -- and that too who knows how active they would be in sending your application.

All new applicants should take this advice but still everyone being so concerned about the process that a lot fall into the marketing trap of this huge industry. Let's face it, most of these guys themselves are dying to go settle abroad and if they can not do it for themselves how the hell they will help you.

Another thing, the staff who is after your money initially is WAY different from the guy who takes up your case - or so called assigned case processing specialist. This specialist is no one but a clerk who is more concerned about his/her own personal issues, has no clue or idea of your dream and how important a single document is for you, and is usually a document copy agent.

We have burnt our fingers with these guys and would like all to be aware of these. The only reason we are not in Canada yes is because of a consultant we used in past.

try to call CIC to take a chance, as email or letter will not work (time reqd is more)

nothing wrong in taking a chance though chances are less

Very sorry to hear this, Darkman. Perhaps you should call CIC and explain your situation. If nothing works, please prepare everything and resend it again.

I already sent emails with covering letter and new fee payment form scanned copies along with faxing them. I even sent these 2 sheets from toronto which will reach on July 23rd morning

No one knows exact status and working dynamics of CIC. My advise to the forum members will be, "not to give up or take decisions based on the analyses being discussed on the forum". All of them are based on certain assumptions, right or wrong to any degree. One must give its full till the last. This will keep you satisfied now and even after irrespective of the decision, which is the most important .... :)

You still have time. You must send your JD with a covering letter, including your basic details, application tracking number etc, without wasting a single min. Review checklist again for some other missing document and do proof reading of forms again before sending the follow-up parcel.

in case if they sent your file back in this time than? have a call its better, explain them the sitution and requset to accept new form
see chances are though less but take a call
