i have another question, out of curiosity, for members with longer experience with cic... :))) those of you whose local office is vienna, do you have an approximation of the period they are holding your documents, since the time they receive it from canada, to the point you get your visa in the passport? i know that, if all the docs are there and the whole file is complete, one must to medical first... but i was told that that medical takes approx two weeks, from the time you receive the invitation to do the medical by the time they, in vienna, receive the report. any thoughts?

Thanks Prince but someone told me they usually mail extra copies to requesting institutions and not to individuals. Can I send photocopies with a cover letter?
Had the same problem as my test center had strict policy in not handing over additional results to individuals. So I gathered all the docs, provided my application package, brought it to the institution and they couriered it to CIO along with the additional TRF.
It worked for me, hope works for u too..
BTW I don't think sending photocopies of TRF is gonna work at this stage since as per checklist that situation applies to applicants whose IELTS were not returned.

The process is:-

Apply -> FEE ENCASH -> PER/AOR (UCI and File Number allocation) -> AOR2/FILE TRANSFER TO YOUR VO/CHC -> ADDITIONAL REQUESTS (IF ANY e.g. Interview / Additional Documentary Proofs) -> MEDICALS -> PASSPORT REQUEST -> VISA STAMP

Do we get a stamped visa or a PR card for FSW? And what's the validity for this visa/PR? 3 or 5 years?

Guys, I did some analysis on the FSW 2011 NOC 1122, the hottest NOC in 2011. The analysis shows that each update by CIC correspond a working day. The 1122 was filled up by 8 times update and it is found that NOC 1122 filled up by 8 working days considering Saturday a working date. Applicants who sent application on 9th working day, cited their rejection due to cap being filled. We have seen that CIC did charge CC on Saturdays.

Cap update Total Corresponding
by CIC filled working date
23-Jul-11 52 Friday, July 01, 2011
30-Jul-11 259 Saturday, July 02, 2011
31-Jul-11 307 Monday, July 04, 2011
4-Aug-11 336 Tuesday, July 05, 2011
8-Aug-11 365 Wednesday, July 06, 2011
9-Aug-11 391 Thursday, July 07, 2011
10-Aug-11 419 Friday, July 08, 2011
22-Aug-11 500 Saturday, July 09, 2011
Monday, July 11, 2011 Applicant got returned letter citing capped filled up

If we go in line with this theory, the 3 times update by CIC for 2013 represent 4th, 6th, and 7th May (exclude 5th May as Sunday).

FSW 2011 started at July 1st and first update was on July 23th.
This year, the first update was around June 20th, after almost 7 weeks after the race has started. We must not forget that the eligibility conditions are hardly to achieve this year. Anyway, the next cap update will provide valuable informations about the hottest NOCs.

GREAT analysis,
so it means if one has applied for hot NOC 1112 say on 26th May 2013 , its better to logout of this forum and
log back again in May 2014 :) for the FSW 2014 . ;D
