Lets assume that first update was for May 4th applications and second update was for Monday May 6th then last update could be till the end of the first week May 11th.
So the numbers - based on this assumption is up to 11th May. or maybe because CIC usually publish on Tuesdays then it could be up to May 8th or 15th.

Very confusing. but logically it could be 8th (Tuesday), 11th (Friday) or 15th (Tuesday)
The figures are funny and from one side we can figure that forum members represent high % of the global apps, but having no/less charges on 16th and 15th for hot NOCs is not a comfortable sign.

Or the worst case scenario is that these figures are still for May 4th and it is very outdated

If Birth place is different in birth certificate and passport then..

1.you need to write birth place as per the birth certificate in form of your spouse
2.You need to update her passport with correct birth place
3.make a affidavit and go to passport office and apply for update of passport
4.as of now send the current passport copy + affdavit copy + receipt copy of passport office for update of passport TO CIC WITH APPLICATION AND EXPLAIN THE SITATUATION.

THEY WILL CONSIDER YOUR CASE IF YOU GO BY THIS WAY..BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY CASES WHERE TYPO ERROR OR SILLY MISTAKES HAPPEN IN PASSPORT WHILE PRINTING..

But my spouse's passport is having a wrong place of birth for her...
Is the spouse's passport mandatory or I can send it later to local VO?
Should I send it along the application...
Please help....

You need to rectify

If you approach the passport supritendent, He will rectify the error then and there only.. The rectificatiom will be made on the second last page of the passport and it will be signed by the Supritendent and official stamped

@ All - Good to see a CAP update happening in the wee hours when I was slept. Of course, it is not as of May 4th and that I don't see CIC placing any real date against it. I know the question of date will arise after every update and then many will say...we wait till next update to get a clear picture.
So there emerges a principle to CAP update as I have said earlier long back.
The figures on next CIC update are as on the previous update DATE. So people looking for 'as on date' answers can safely assume 16-July figures were actually satisfyingly completed on 24-Jun (or around that time) and the apps handled based on receiving date is until between 13th-15th May; but they only posted now and did a fair formality. There's a delay between 'completing a count' and then actually 'posting' it on web.

The update "as on" would have included mostly applications received in first week (6 till 10th May) and barely from 2nd week (13th or so). My logic: CIC stated that it will take 8 to 10 weeks for applicants to expect a response, since this update came after 10 weeks of opening the cap, so at max they would have checked 1 to 2 weeks of application by 16 July ! (which is n-sync with the pattern of CC charges for applicants from this forum)

Another reason why 'date' is not updated may be due to difficulty in stamping a single date as it applies for all the NOC categories.. there can be a gap of couple of days among NOC's..especially hot ones.. (for e.g. say 10th May for NOC 1112, 13th May for NOC 2174), there are some applications which CIC have put 'on hold' , where ECA report is not available online initially for those who upgraded their ECA for FSW package after request.

Dont know about video. But if you approach the officer with proper documents it wont take more then 15-20 mins.

Only Affidavit wont work..if you want to strongly appeal for the truth then send them

current passport copy + affdavit copy + receipt copy of passport office for update of passport TO CIC WITH APPLICATION AND EXPLAIN THE SITATUATION in separate note having your signature on it.

once you get the update passport then you send them updated passport copy..

I received my UCI and file no on 15/07/2013
I did not send PCC with my application.
Should i apply now for the PCC as it will take approx. 20days?
or should wait till visa office asks for it?
as validity of it is for three months only.

I say go for it now. Am guessing it won't take CIC up to 3 mths to send ur package to your visa office at the' supposed' faster pace they are working this year.
I belive ul be getting communication from your local visa office veryyyy soon

You also have to account for the delay in generating a summary, re-checking and then posting it. As I said, apps received until between 13th-15th May (1 to 2 weeks) were evaluated by around 24-Jun (interim CAP update date) and final safe count published by 16-Jul. The next CAP update would be equally good as if they were safely counted as on 16-Jul and so on...

My thoughts from my experience though as I'm doing a similar task. Evaluation can differ from person to person.
