Though, I am not being able to understand one thing did you really send the original IELTS TRF along with the application. Please dont mind, I am just curious that how could you managed to get additional TRF. As per IDP and British Council instructions, additional TRF can be ordered to be send to any 3rd party organizations directly by post or registered post. They do not provide additional TRF directly to the candidates.

Is it possible that you send the photocopy of the IELTS TRP ?

Well, I have a very bad news and right now I am very much pissed off at CIC.

They have returned my application and the reason mentioned is I have not included my IELTS!!!!!!!!!!! I AM 100% CERTAIN (no doubt) that I included it. Apparently, they lost my IELTS. The letter I put was in its pocket and now there's nothing in my package returned!

Guys, what do you think i should do. I try to stay cool but this is ridiculous. Seriously ridiculous!

Oh my God, I am so angry right now! CIC officers really?!!! Where's my IELTS score?

I still haven't heard from CIC and my bank is unable to tell me whether my DD is encased by CIC still waiting with my fingered crossed.

Idoit, I am so sorry to hear about your file but I second Islandbabe's suggestion. The quickest way is to approach them gently through email/fax and prove your case by providing whatever evidence you have in this case by giving them copy of your IELTS and also point out how this was a mistake happened at CIO level. Simultaneously, you can seek any legal advise also. Do not wait. Approach them ASAP and in fact you might need to keep sending them several reminders in order to draw their attention. I feel this is doable. go for it.

Off course buddies. Obviously, the ones at CIC are normal people like every one of us and they shouldn't be scrutinized. I was just teasing I'm cool man. Worse thing I'll resubmit. The nice guy at CIC CS is now looking what else can be done in my case. I'll update immediately.

CIC would accept a total of 5000 applications irrespective of the NOC's.
After 5000 applications, even if an NOC is not filled up with 300 applications, an application for that NOC would be out of the cap because the limit of overall 5000 is reached.

An applciation should be with in 300 applications for a particular NOC and also with total 5000, then it would be considered if all the documents are fine.

Phd applications have a separate 1000 cap and there are 5000 slots ofr the 24 NOC's.

Mate - I feel this is a very silly question. The guy has just seen bad news and you are trying to get info about YOUR IELTS?? Anyway, different countries operate differently. I did my IELTS in the UK and can get multiple IELTS copies if I give a small fee. In India, they may NOT be doing that. For Idoit, he may have similar policy to UK though he prob did his IELTS in Canada.

Err, JohnnyZee, i don't think he was trying to get information about HIS IELTS. I think he was asking Idoit if he was sure he sent the original as opposed to the photocopy piece they give you.

But just to answer the OP, they do provide 2 original copies and a copy in black and white. Depending on where you take the test I believe.

The organisation I used here in the UK provide only one copy, in green. To get another you have to have an organisation receive it.

I have ordered 2 copies in original
1 for myself and another for CIC and both were in sealed envelope.
one has lable of my name , and other one had label ( CIC canada ) and my candidate number of ILETS test.

Actually , I ordered for second original copy while I registered for the IELTS test.

So answer is yes we have to send original copy to CIC (in sealed envelope, otherwise the result report cant be accepted as official document)
another original you can keep for your records and obviously get photo copies of it, but it cant be considered an official report.

Thanks islandbabe Obviously I'll be smartly polite yet very critical of the whole mistake they made.
Thing is I wouldn't even imagine my app being returned yet being returned for such mundane reason!

God, I hate lawyers and their stupid laws!

I was more concerned about the bad news Idoit gave us today. I think CIC should accept there clerical mistake and put his file back in process.

I can have as many as 3 copies made in IELTS Canada here in Halifax.
