Option 1. If you have got any one in Canada(friend/relative) then divert your courier at their address. Get it corrected and then send to CIO.

Option 2. You can talk to customer service of your courier agency and get the courier back to your address(i m not sure about any extra charges).. you can correct it and again send it..

Talk to Customer Care..

Hi immasum,

You are good to go. There is not need of signatures if payment is made via DD.

Cheers.

Thirdly, In the spreadsheet itself, we have 9 of our friends with encashed fee receipts for the category 2174 out of the total 15 given on the CIC website (assuming files received till 9th May 2013 have been checked for eligibility). So, the percentage of the users on forum should be around 60%
How can the Global Applications number be 840 then. It should be around 150.

Incorrect analysis. Basically you missed some facts.
Firstly, 15 is some figure from CIC for 2174; there may actually be more but when they updated they only safely considered 15 to be complete. Meantime, others were getting through in parallel but not yet pushed towards total count.
Secondly, the count 15 on the CIC website does not include all of our 9 friends. Let's say, only 2 or 3 of our friends are the subset of the 15 and the rest from the rest of the world.

The actual update on CIC is not a true figure even as on the day of update but a continuing figure.
Take this principle; the figures on next CIC update are as on the previous update DATE. There is a delay. Nothing else can be said with much surety.

Hi amar31282,

thanks. I have done another mistake in my Generic application form. And I did not mentioned anything in the filed "Immigration office requested to process this application". I was really confused and did not write anything on this... Aside the form also got validated without writing anything over there..

how bad is that?

@anac, bharat and other - As long as the Settlement Fund is >= the requirement as per family size, you are good to go. CIC does not want to see some quarterly or yearly report of an individual; they need to know the resultant funds that shall help them to decide whether a applicant should be accepted or rejected on that ground.

Hope that sorts out the issue.

My application should be recevied by CIC tommorow or the day after because today is Canada Day. I applied under NOC 2147. Do you thnik I'm late? What should I expect? Will the cap be filled untill they open my application?

Hi friends,

First of all as per the spreadsheet, we have the following statistics for NOC 2174:-

Computer & Media Developers - 2174
==================================
Total apps received: 84
Global Applications: 840
Global Acceptance: 756
Maximum per NOC: 300

Secondly, I have gone through the detailed process given by CIC from the following link:-
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06c-eng.pdf
As per the process, the fee is encashed when a PER is already decided

Thirdly, In the spreadsheet itself, we have 9 of our friends with encashed fee receipts for the category 2174 out of the total 15 given on the CIC website (assuming files received till 9th May 2013 have been checked for eligibility). So, the percentage of the users on forum should be around 60%

Please correct me if I am wrong. May be I have not fully understood the terminology used in Spreadsheet. In either case can someone please clarify the above terms and how have these been calculated.

Thanks,
Amit

Hi,
Calculations on the spreadsheet are based on the numbers of the previous years. Also, they have not considered purticular NOC, all the NOC categories are considered in arriving the % of global applications vs applications on the spreadsheet.
As you mentioned, no one is sure about 9 of the forum members are in the CIC updated number 15. It may be true considering the fact all of them got their CC/DD charged before 24 when the latest updates were out.
Please note that the spreadsheet is only for information purpose and does not reflect exact numbers. Actual number of applications may be much less or more.
Hopefully, we all pray that you should be correct with your calculations and there are only 160 applciations for NOC 2174 (Which I know is highly impossible though).

Keep waiting for further updates on the cap from CIC so that we can have clear picture on the numbers.

Happy waiting. ALL THE BEST.

Hi immasum,

About that I don't have any idea. In fact no one in this forum can give you any clear idea about it.

Dear Members,

I wanted to confirm if passports of all dependents need to be present at time of applying. I have two daughters 2.7 and 1.3 years and it will take another month to get their passports processed. Is it possible if I apply now without their passports with an explaination and later send that information?

Regards.
