@ Jigzyy, JonnyZee, Marta, Islandbabe, Adrenalineforu and other members, who are doing great job by helping applicants, through the best of their knowledge.

My request is to "Add a page named "Links" to the document Tracker" and add below important links at one place. This will help new members to get the required knowledge and will save time for members from posting same information again and again or scrolling back n forth.

UCI is very recent then. I got my visit visa last July and only Document number is mentioned in passport. there is nothing called UCI number on the page.

UCI is not that recent. I was one of the old/ pre 2008 applicant, when I asked for my CAIPS note in 2010, I saw that I have been given a UCI number, my dependants also had UCI number which was sequential. The application is now terminated and I'm not sure if my UCI will be retained or a new one will be alloted.

I have send the application with the older version of document checklist, generic form and schedule 3 form, i am worried about its acceptance.
I am confused, if this forms were updated on 4th may then how come the application that have reached CIC on 4th may were with the new version of it. And if those application reaching the CIC on 4th May were with older version then how were they accepted???
Its a big question, eating my head......
Old schedule 3 form will be returned as in Martha's case. But others are still being accepted. But miracles happens.

Dear Friends,

I've just received today my "Enquiry on results" from IELTS (06 of April, 2013). It took 9 weeks. Anyway in the meantime I sat an IELTS again I'v got positive results - overall 7.

My mark from writing has been increased a whole 1 band! From 5.5 to 6.5.

My point is...I am thinking to have my next exam remarked too. However, I sent an original results from that test in my application to CIC. I wonder if there may be any interrupting with results. Lets say, CIC wants to check me and will encounter some difficulties related to remarking. For example, in Cambridge they will remove my results from database until they will provide new ones.

My point is, if CIC resent my app to me (from any reason), next year I would have not enough points to apply. Having positively remarked that test I wouldn't have to sit IELTS again.
What do you advice? Go for this remarking?

Does anyone else have problems accessing the spreadsheet? I'm getting "You need permission to access this item." message.

If you get your Bachelor's degree, say, from Asia, and, say, your Master's from the US, and you are currently in the US, it would be much easier and faster to get your documents ready for your American degree than for your Bachelor's degree. Besides, it is mentioned on the CIC Instruction Guide 7000 (for FSWP), that you will be awarded points for the highest educational credential (Canadian equivalent)

They don't care about the total number of years anymore.

If your Master's degree somehow got evaluated only as a Bachelor's, then there may be an incentive to get your other Bachelor's degree evaluated too to claim maximum possible points. If your degree has already been evaluated as a Canadian equivalent of Master's degree, even if you have 5 other Bachelor's degrees, it won't improve your educational points.
Thank you for the details. I got the information to make the decision.

Dear Friends,

I know this might not be the right forum to discuss this, but I would really appreciate it if someone took the time to share their thoughts on this topic. I applied for NOC 1112 this time around with my husband. My total point was 73, with 5 points from adaptability for my husband's IELTS. Unfortunately, I am currently in the process of divorce with him. Without his points in adaptability, I get 68 points. Now my question is, if I do get PER for this application, is there any way I can continue with the application by myself? Thanks a lot.

@ misha
I don't think it will affect your eligibility after you get a PER. The only flip side is that you'd be charged for Processing Fee by then (if you're fortunate !!) for two $1100 which is non refundable. & you will have some spare money as your requirement for Settlement funds will come down by ~ 5 grands.

But, you need to wait till you get official copy from court and then you can inform VO, if you get PER. This is the standard comment in PER letter- excerpt below:

{Please inform the visa office of any changes in your application (e.g. birth or adoption of a child, marriage or common-law relationship, new occupation or employer, submission of an Arranged Employment Opinion approved by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, change of address, change of e-mail address, change of immigration representative, etc). Please include a letter identifying what the changes are and any relevant supporting documents. }

After we post our applications, how/when will we here from CIC?

It will take a few months. I believe those who applied the first or second week of May are just hearing back now.
