How can you find out the UCI for visitor visa...i know they send a letter when they request your passports...i dont have that letter any more. Is there any other way you can find that UCI...may be on passport?

I have quick doubt about the language eligibility and mark distribution according to IELTS results


No where it is mentioned that applicant should get points separately for each language ability

the table only says

if CLB level 7 then 4 points for each ability i think which means ( 4+ 4 + 4 + 4 = 16 )

else if CLB level 8 then 5 points for each ability i think which means ( 5+ 5 + 5 + 5 = 20 )

else CLB level 9 then 6 points for each ability i think which means ( 6+ 6 + 6 + 6 = 24 )


Please clarify ??/

Dear Friends,

I've just received today my "Enquiry on results" from IELTS (06 of April, 2013). It took 9 weeks. Anyway in the meantime I sat an IELTS again I'v got positive results - overall 7.

My mark from writing has been increased a whole 1 band! From 5.5 to 6.5.

My point is...I am thinking to have my next exam remarked too. However, I sent an original results from that test in my application to CIC. I wonder if there may be any interrupting with results. Lets say, CIC wants to check me and will encounter some difficulties related to remarking. For example, in Cambridge they will remove my results from database until they will provide new ones.

My point is, if CIC resent my app to me (from any reason), next year I would have not enough points to apply. Having positively remarked that test I wouldn't have to sit IELTS again.
What do you advice? Go for this remarking?

I have a UCI from prev work permit but i could not locate any current information from cic for it.

check your inbox .
Ideally they will check if you had work permit, every information is captured in their global data base . But your previous experience should be a plus point.
BTW which NOC have you applied this time ? and what does the previos occupation mentioned on your work , does it match with the current eligible occupation ?

NO THERE IS NOT ANY CONNECTION WITH RESPECT TO YOUR OVERSEAS TEAVEL OR VISA RELATED THINGS AT THE FIRST STAGE OF CIC.
ONE OF MY FRIEND'S FILE IS ACCEPTED THOUGH HIS PAST FILE WAS REJECTED AND THE SAME THING HE MENTIONED IN GENERIC FORM TOO.
I THINK YOU NEED TO WAIT FOR SOMETIME..HOPE FOR THE BEST.

It is clearly mentioned on check list..you need to get job letter with all detals like duration of work , duties,full/part time ext
and paystubs optional doc.

dont know how people define seniors!! anyway..you can check with your bank..it will be more easy for you to get status if you have taken draft from private foreign exchange service like thomas cook..thats the reason for immigration purpose we should always choose thomas cook..they are good in service.
here in your case you bank should also give you status of the draft..

Buddys I lost my patience and decide to try again on CIC hotline!
U know what, the lady answered me, she can clearly say what is my mobile and home address!
The here comes, she said my DD is encased at June 20th and she find my application number and UCI number!
Again, she asked me to check with the email adderess to see why I did not receive PER yet, But from the timeline I know maybe I should wait till TMW!
