No, i don't think so.... If you are not claiming points for those years of work experience, it should not be necessary to provide reference letters..... Although this does not mean that the same is to be missed out inbackground declaration form or FSW form.... It is required to mention last 10 years there, but not provide reference letters fr all ...

My case is that I worked in 2174 for last 5 years at one employer and 2 years before that for 2nd employer, also 2174. I worked before those 7 years too - in NOC2174, but I didn't really care about proving that nor gave any letters from employers etc. I only stated all of those it on my 10-years-back history. Reason for not sending all 10 years of experience is that I simply can't claim more than 15 points for last 6 years.
Why would I bother convincing them that I have 10 years of experience if they don't care of anything after 6 years?

Earlier they were giving more points, for up to 10 or even 12 years (?) but they decided it's not important as much anymore.

Yoda, I'm glad for you! Hopefully we'll meet at Vienna VO talks one day. :)

Thanx @ coolguy2010, but I'm not unhappy from my consultant as I do not have any. I just wanted to contact one of consultants (counting on his kindness) to advice me in work experience matter. I didn't attache a cover letter with explanation, why I couldn't provide one of reference letters form employer. Although from NOC 6221 and too short period of employement to has any meaning in my case, but...

Congrats YodaAtCanada!!!! Happy for you and all those who got their CC encashed....

You dont have to explain every missing details in your application. Trying to do that could make it suspicious and confusing too. My advise is to stay calm. If you have experience up to a year in the chosen NOC and have the evidence to back it up, you are ok.

I shall say u r un-necessarily stressing yourself on a non existant issue .....

One question.... Did you mention your experience in fsw form and background declaration form ...??

Yes I did, because they asked about it. But everything what could I do at the moment it was to send a copy of the job offer. And probably I should sent an explanation about it. But I thought, that CIC will understand it by themselves, why there is no reference letter for that job :P

@ Floxzy :-* I've calmed down a little after your post. I thought I will have a heart attack after moment :o

Yes, agreed

hi everyone,

my info is as follows:

noc: 2147
ielts: 7.5
spouse: no
points: 71
relative: yes
job: no
degree: 5 years bachelor
ECA: 4 year bachelor

I have one worry though. i read earlier in this thread that not mentioning the visa office might cause the application to be rejected. i left it empty because in cic website, they said economic programs in london and permanent residence in abu dhabi. i was confused since this programs is economic but also offers permanent residence. I left it empty since i was able to verify the form while leaving the visa office empty and thinking that they would choose the default visa office for my region. does anyone have any idea about this?

thanks

Congrats YodatCanada! The bank is actually charging your card 802.88Euro which is 1045.27 US dollars.

Floxyz, yup you are right.

I believe this depends on country and bank. I mean it depends how do they conduct conversions between foreign currency.

Don't worry too much. In 2011, there was no ECA requirement, so many people could submit their application within the first week. This time, it is a lot, lot more difficult. I guess 1112 would remain open till 20th may or so, if not more.
