Today's inactivity reminds me of last Friday! However, I am quietly confident of a cap update before the end of the week. On the other hand, we will face more frustration at the start of next week as it is a public holiday on Monday (Canada day!). I suggest we all go away for a long weekend and return on Tuesday...

I hope to have another update before the week ends, like tomorrow [thu when first update came in]. Its really getting frustrated for 1112 applicants as there is no applicant yet on this forum who has reported for a charge. :-SS

Don't stress, we are all in the same boat. Btw, what VO are you? I assume you are not CPP-O?

Nop, not CPP-O. My VO is Vienna.

Just FYI guys..
My CC has compromised several times in past. I had used the card for online shopping and across anywhere at merchants. In those cases Bank had just cancelled the card to stop further misuse.

To be on safe side I never used my card after applying for CIC and also offloaded the card from any regular scheduled payments..just to avoid any block on card..I also informed bank today that I am expecting card to be charged from Canada by CIC and then made a note on my account. :D

Added. I think providing VO is not an issue.

I guess not. Although this narrows number of possibilities :)
My VO is Vienna.

Thank you. I think it is enough as of right now.

I know; I am starting to feel as if there are more CPP-O candidates than usual. Plus it seems like we have not captured the 1112 early birds. Who knows about the immigration laws in the US? Are the clamping down and hence we have more people applying to Canada?

Hmm, few of the early 1112 used DD's, this is another reason we haven't see any charges yet.

As far as I heard, US laws were getting a bit easier and they have increased the visas too. But still, Canada seems to be better than US.

Ok so I have just found this thread so apologies if these questions have already been answered (AMAZING spread sheet by the way - I will post our details soon) - basically I am just wondering:

1) did the people who are noting that their fees have been encashed all pay by credit card (ie they are noticing the fees being debited on their credit card statement?)? I just wonder as we sent a bankers draft so will have no way to tell when it has been cashed.

2) in the spreadsheet - what does PER/NER received mean? Is this the Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) from CIC? If so, am I reading the spreadsheet correctly that no one on the spreadsheet has heard anything official from CIC yet?

Just briefly FYI - our application was signed as received on 10 May and we have heard nothing as yet (NOC 2174). Will post our full details for addition to spreadsheet tomorrow as need to get to bed now before the baby wakes up for the first time!

Again - great spreadsheet / resource! :) :) :)
