Hi All,

I understand it is late..Though i still want to take my chances..I have completed bachelors of computer application and working as a network system engineer. I wish to apply under the NOC 2147.
However the Employment requirements states that" Computer engineers require a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical or electronics engineering, engineering physics or computer science.".......As other than the Engineering degree they have only mentioned Computer science I am doubtful If I would fall in this category.

You can apply..... BCA, MCA are computer science degrees....

Hi,
I posted below on different thread but no one answered.
Please answer me.

I am preparing for applying in the future.

I wonder what the FILE NUMBER is.
After incashed by CIC(Sydney, NS), do they issue file number right away, or each countiry visa office will issue it right after receiveing the documents from CIC?
Also, what exactly does file number mean?
If I got a file number, how high the percentatge of getting a permanent visa in average?

I understand pretty well for whole process but this file number.

Please explain in detail for File Number.
Thanks.

But guys, when i Paid to WES through CC, they didn't asked any security Password. I hope my payment gets clear (if m in) without any obstructions.. M worried now!!! :-[

But WES has an online payment system. CIC will use your CC number as you were physically in Canada. My homebank system has an option to set a country as a safe source of transactions. My bank also send me an SMS everytime a CC transaction occurs. The most wanted SMS of my life B-)

So do you mean they will not need any 3D secure password for transaction and just the 16-digit number and CVV is enough?

Guys,
After analyzing the spreadsheet, I came to conclude that the following applicants were those whose application reached CIO on or before May 10 and mode of payment was CC - so following all should call to their bank (or CC issuing authority) to check if their CC got charged, don't wait till billing to you guys. By calling to your bank, you can have instantaneous information:

dreamaby

Borojevic
RufiDoby

@ pharmacist
From above shortlist, are there guys having US work experience or educ or CPP-O ... it seems those are the ones being expedited with priority or at least they are the first to receive an intimation.. is there a level playing field :(

If I might add, I don't think that applicants from the US have an advantage apart from the proximity to Canada. Their packages were delivered quicker and hence first in queue.

See the end of section 8:
"Applications are date stamped upon receipt at the CIO and then checked for completeness in order by date of receipt. The “application received” date at the CIO is the lock-in date. Processing offices should therefore maintain the application received date from the time of the applicant's initial submission to the CIO, and process the application to conclusion"

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06c-eng.pdf

This may have been answered already...but i couldn't find it in the archives...when does CIC charge the card or in-cash the DD. Is it after the completeness check or after positive determination of eligibility against ministerial instructions? Section 9.1 mentions "cost recover the processing fees etc." But section 9 on the same page above mentions about refund of processing fees if ministerial criteria is not fulfilled, which means the fees are charged before that step (completion of completeness check). However, section 8 does not mention about charging the fees either.
