May be.. it takes one day from distant cities to international transits..

I too drove from my home city to Delhi for this purpose (350 KMs) - anyway I work here in Delhi so had to report to office on next Monday. ;-)

"As of Tuesday, diplomats (means the non-executive delegates) were off work in London, Paris, Mexico, Tel Aviv, Ramallah, Dublin, Hong Kong, and Canada's delegation to the European Union, according to a union representative. Immigration officers (means the executives) remained off work in Beijing, Shanghai, Delhi and Chandigarh."

If I understood correctly, the processing should not be delayed in NS as of now since NS is not mentioned in the off-work list of offices and as such since the files are not yet transferred to Asian VOs where the executives (not diplomats) are off work.

Pretty much. Sorry, but we have to do what we have to do... unfortunately. Please feel free to write a letter to Citizenship and Immigration Minister Kenney telling him to encourage his government to offer a fair deal to Immigration employees and pay them the same as others doing the same work.

Or give him a tweet telling him to solve the problem. This issue is coming from the highest levels, the more pressure they receive, the more likely this is to get resolved and you can come to Canada. :-)

Easy.....please courier to Myself Jigzzy and Marta PR cards for all our family members as soon as possible ;) ;) :D :D

:D Only administrators have access right now.....there is a wait-list for new admins for if/when they become needed. Idoit has firmly placed himself at the front of that line. 8)

hahaha islandbabe Yes I'm ready for it. ;)

You go 2 days away, and come back to see 25 new pages!!! :o Whaaaat? wow ;)
As said before, I guess at this stage no news is in fact good news. When I compare my receive date with Marta's, I guess now even my application should have been processed, and because I'm already in NS, it wouldn't get even 2 days for post to reach me here. So I think, the first 10-day early birds in NOC 2174 who heard nothing are safe now. Well I guess I should have been waited till tomorrow to post this but whatever. :D

Hi, I checked the spreadsheet now and I see folks submitted the same week application opened. How did you do it? Did you school in Canada or ur institution must have been effective in verifying your result. Wish us all the best!

Well I love my university back in Iran, they were so quick in verifying WES. When I read balkanada's case, I was sad for him to know his university take so much time. So yea, a lot of factors come into play, most important of which are luck and obviously good planning and time management. Best of luck to all deserving people here. (and there :D)

Hey idoit, this really comes as a sigh of relief and optimism to think that the the first 10-day early birds in NOC 2174 who heard nothing are safe now
Good thought, makes me feel energetic and positive :-*
I'm one of those early birds but used the old form......

Loncan,
I think ur not the only one who suffered from parcel force. even mine took 5-6 days for delievery. I had put in the claim and have now now got the cheque from them even. I had paid 49.99 postage. which i recieved back from the. Look at my posting date anddeluevery date at the spreadsheet.
go for the claim, u will get it.

Bad considering Marta is in the US.
I'm in the UK (quite near to Nova Scotia relatively speaking!) and my 1 day delivery service took 4/5 days. I've put in a claim for a refund from the courier (Still, if I'm going to blame anyone for likely missing the CAP I'm blaming WES for a month lost)

I have been thinking about the cap update. I believe that the published numbers, when they finally appear on the page, will not give us much information. If, for example, 1112 would show 150 completed applications, it will not tell us as of when is this number, how many more are waiting in the line for the preliminary assessment. For us, who has already sent their applications, this information is useless. It can only give some feedback to those, who are still waiting to send their docs.

Added, PLease view the spreadsheet and supply any outstanding information such as Visa Office........

Surprised to see here that, people are behaving like if they are going to get some lottery id CIC will deduct money from their credit card. This is a real roller coaster ride started for the people who have applied. There will be a wait of 2-3 years now for getting a PR and after that nobody is waiting for you guys with a lollypop here. You need to struggle a lot here for gettiing jobs. So please wake up and think realistic. Dont lose your sleep for this PR application. You have now applied, so go and relax and concentrate on your work. Keep advising people as this will be a great help for new applicants.

sachin9183: yea bud. Be + ;)

The following lines might be too much for some so please read with discretion. It's just my personal take-on. Take it from someone who has lived here 4 years and is relatively successful.

<rants> Not to divert the thread to a never-ending off-topic discussion, but I thought to give skm12345 a +1 and confirm what s/he said. It's unfortunate to see some people come to Canada/US thinking Oh my God, I'm going to heaven (or Heaven whatever :D), no one is waiting for you here, you gain whatever you have with . So think ahead and make a decision instead of saying (oh I'm going there, for sure it's better)

Another person in this forum pointed out that they don't know why Canada's policies are like this: they seem to aggressively be in need of people but on the other hand, they make it so difficult to get in. Well, guess what, that's how Canada/US became Canada/US. They over-advertise and make it to make it more desirable to a point you strive for it. I'm not saying Canada or US or Australia or wherever else are not good, they're awesome places if you have a thorough well-thought plan ahead, well with this mindset even one's home country can be as good. I don't want to see you as disappointed as I see some people/parents here (esp. would be more painful if it's a whole family)! the point I'm trying to convey is throw away ads, throw away wishful and non-thorough planning. What has made Canada/US/Australia are hard workers (like me and you FSWers) not prayers. If one follows Mother Teresa's relaxed teachings, you get what you get... a poor society that always looks up its shoulder to get orders (Her teaching is capitalist's best friend and poor's worst enemy I guess! :D) they're made to keep you sleep. You go into hibernation mode and will wake only to see most resources are exhausted and you're all alone with your wishes/prayers. :D That's it. Sorry for the... </rants>

FACT: You should either have big deep pocket from your home country or be a big a$$ worker and/or a good thinker. Hope this off-topic post help some.
