It does not have any field for name. It just says a child (gender) weighing ___kg dd/mm/yyyy At 1130 was born to fathers name and Mothers name___________________
It's heading is 'birth certificate' written in bold.
And is signed by the authorized doctor.

Is this normal in your country for the child's name (your name) to not be written on the certificate?

If that's how a birth certificate is officially done in your country then you should have nothing to worry about with your FSW application.

Somehow I doubt that's how it is officially done, I doubt that certs are issued without the child's name written on it.

Bro take it to the local municipality which acts as registrar of Birth and Death and fill a form and pay a fee and they would issue a birth cert with your name on in 10 - 15 days. You can fast track the process if you know people working there and provide them the 'additional papers' they require. I went through the same situation few months back.

So far so good..............If nothing this week then it would definitely seem that they are accepting the old generic form and quite a few forum members will breathe a sigh of relief.

I sent my application on May 04, with new (05-2013) schedule 3 IMM0008, however till that time generic application form IMM0008 was having footer date of 12-2012 - so I used that 12-2012 IMM0008. My application was received there on May 08 - seeing Marta's case I feel everybody who used IMM0008 with 12-2012 footer must be highly worried. But to the best of my analysis, CIO would accept IMM0008 with 12-2012, as there no change in contents.

On the other hand, as I analyze the case of Sachin, his V.O is CPP-O and he is USA - he also used old (IMM0008 with footer date of 12-2012) generic forrm, and he also appled on May 04 and his application was received by CIO on May 06 or 07 or 08 (mine was on May 08). By grace of God, he didn't get any bad news as of today. This is giving fair hopes that CIO is going to accept IMM0008 with 12-2012 footer date, given rest of the forms are most recent.

Sachin how do you think about it?

There are 2 authorities who issue the birth certificate.
One, the hospital ( my case). In my case the hospital was army cantonment's hospital which issued my birth certificate, shortly after my birth. I was not named by then.
Second, the district authorities i.e. the registrar of births and deaths also issues birth certificates, and those ones contain child's name. I didn't had that at the time of applying.

In haste, I sent the birth certificate issued by the army hospital, where I was born.

Later after reading posts of this forum, I realized that I could have made a mess... :( :(

Of course they have to accept the old generic form. Only the schedule 3 form has problem. So keep breathing that sigh of relief.

Lets rename this thread, "moral support society". We've had NA vs N/A question, no family name questions, date of generic form questions, birth certificate questions and what not!

What's common in all of these? The applications have already been sent and nothing can be done about it!!! We're just seeking solace by asking others, their opinion. Hoping for good words? I really don't think it really matters what I think about any of these questions! Whatever the people working at the CIO think about it matters and we'll hear from them when our time comes, if its accepted, good. If not, then the file will be on the way back, no matter what the seniors, me and you think about it.

FSW 2013 Applicants' Timeline - Lets Network Here, anyone? ::)

Well I'm afraid the thread has puffed up lately, mostly with irrelevant material!
However, I assume it's due to the enormous traffic of viewers, members and super moderators.'
why don't we leave it just to the timeline update and put up another thread for FAQs, application troubleshooting, worries and fears ;)
and the so forth?

Guys
My birth certificate that I sent with my application does not have my name on it. It was issued by the hospital where I was born.
Would this create any problems ? Please advise.

how it can be a birth certificate without name on it?!!!
well, for sure it's a big problem , it's not a birth certificate!

Hi alertjeba

'additional papers' Ha ha ... Well said..

41 applications were sent between 7th and 10th May and If Marta's application was processed on 30th May then they must have processed applications up to 10th May by this time.

22 out of 41 applicants paid through CC.

One thing is for sure, we will hear a lot of GOOD NEWS this coming week.

Jig nesh....I agree with you. This week someone (persons) will get some good news and we will get to see the cap count ( outdated as it must be at this stage)

Guys, I am having a trouble with filling the form IMM5669E:
It says : "List all addresses where you have lived ...",
during my college years, I lived in private apartment, but the address in my national ID card stayed the same. So, my question is this:
should I write the apartment address, or the one written in my ID ?
Thanks a lot for taking your time and helping all of us :)
