Lets rename this thread, "moral support society". We've had NA vs N/A question, no family name questions, date of generic form questions, birth certificate questions and what not!

What's common in all of these? The applications have already been sent and nothing can be done about it!!! We're just seeking solace by asking others, their opinion. Hoping for good words? I really don't think it really matters what I think about any of these questions! Whatever the people working at the CIO think about it matters and we'll hear from them when our time comes, if its accepted, good. If not, then the file will be on the way back, no matter what the seniors, me and you think about it.

FSW 2013 Applicants' Timeline - Lets Network Here, anyone? ::)

Well I'm afraid the thread has puffed up lately, mostly with irrelevant material!
However, I assume it's due to the enormous traffic of viewers, members and super moderators.'
why don't we leave it just to the timeline update and put up another thread for FAQs, application troubleshooting, worries and fears ;)
and the so forth?

Questions are really getting us nowhere, i really understand if people are still preparing their documents, so they need to know what to do (but not asking the same question zillion of times at least), but what i don't understand is people who sent their documents, what are they asking about?!!! People here are not working in CIO or CIC, we know nothing about what's going there .... All such questions are taking us nowhere and making people really being not interested in this thread! Every time i start to read pages and pages and i discover at the end that nothing is really important has been said there ... Let's keep this thread a constructive one, please

well, look at it from another point of view, those questions aren't helping you but they are certainly helping people filling their forms right now. if you're just interested in a time line, you may just bookmark the excel sheet and keep an eye on fees encashed column.

Guys, I am having a trouble with filling the form IMM5669E:
It says : "List all addresses where you have lived ...",
during my college years, I lived in private apartment, but the address in my national ID card stayed the same. So, my question is this:
should I write the apartment address, or the one written in my ID ?
Thanks a lot for taking your time and helping all of us :)

I find that people in this thread and this forum are usually more than willing to help by answering (any) questions...

(a) How doe asking questions for the sake of asking questions help you?

(b) How does asking questions you (already) know the answer to help you?

(c) How does re-asking questions that have already been answered several times and you must have already seen those multiple answers already help you?

(d) How does making an issue about something that you know it is too late to change help you?

A perfect example of what I just said is the post directly above this post.....notice that person thought it necessary post the same question twice. Note the timestamp difference between the posts, the difference in time is 39 minutes 47 seconds.

Why was it necessary to re-post the same question (39 minutes 47 seconds later)?

Though this forum/thread is mostly about the FSW application process, I do understand the concept of some people needing "morale support" (even though it does not have any impact on the application process)......but 5-10-15 pages of "morale support" is a bit too much.

I totally agree, as we would like to follow the timelines rather than burden looking for timelines related threads within too many unrelated topics!

It seems like you didn't get what i said, this is really what i meant! we need to keep this thread for questions that can help people who are preparing their documents.

But what is happening that if someone who is preparing his (her) documents is reviewing this thread, he will keep on reading for hours and wasting his (her) time which is precious without getting any important information.

We are here to help each others, so at least we can try to keep this thread helpful. I know waiting time and all these processes are really making people nervous (including me), but believe me i had so many questions that i wanted to ask and i just deleted them before sending just because i felt that they were useless questions and they will just add unimportant replies to this thread.

Hope you get my point now! ;)

I am really sorry for asking the same question twice: i didn't realize that I hit the post button the first time (I was destructed by my baby, but that is not an excuse for wasting everybody's time). Also, I couldn't find response for my question-guess I didn't type the right words in the search option.
I see that the "energy" of the forum is changed from good to bad, so I won't be bothering you anymore.
Thanks for all your help and best wishes to you all :)

Its not a bother to anyone here to answer your question(s).

But look at the time you just wasted......look at me responding to your double post....instead of answering the question yous asked in the post.

Anyway, regarding your question you are to state the places you have actually lived......i.e, write apartment address.

CIC understands that despite what your ID says, you might have changed addresses between the time that that ID was issued. Afterall, the instructions on the form is to "List all addresses where you have lived ..."

I believe you should write the actual address where you physical stayed.
Hope this helps.

simply a silly question for you might not be for others, if you're racing time to fill in your forms and got confused about something, you'd post it in several forums and look for an answer everywhere. Sometimes when I don't have time to go through all posts I just have a quick look at the excel sheet to see if anyone got his fees encashed but this doesn't give me the right to judge other people's intentions when asking questions.

If you are perspective FSW applicant, it is not in your interest to be "racing time to fill in your forms" as this will only lead to you getting "confused about somethin".

"....post it in several forums..." <------ This is exactly what you should not do on a internet forum. Especially in a forum like CanadaVisa, given how active the forum is, you will usually get a response.

It is possible you don't get a response because potential responders have seen the same question asked so many times and just cant be bothered with responding/answering (I have had lots of questions where nobody responded).

"Sometimes when I don't have time to go through all posts", well, I can certainly relate to this.....but in my case the reason why I fine this to be the case is because there is just too many posts, usually the posts are all about the samething, with the potential answer to my question lost somewhere in all those posts and then I am left feeling like "why bothering searching for the answer, why not just post the question again".

"...this doesn't give me the right to judge other people's intentions when asking questions" This is not about judging you, in fact this is not even about you. Unnecessary posts results in:

(a) meaningful information getting lost in the forum.
(b) it being difficult to search for meaningful info.
(c) in persons having to post duplicates.
(d) makes the forum/thread less useful.

If I could skip through 5-10 pages of posts without having to read any of them because I know none of them contains any useful info. or because I know the info. posted is off topic.....then, I would be happy.

But I cant skip through them, instead, I have to read through (5-10 pages) of posts, at the end of which I realize I wasted my time.

Here, I describe a particular example of the above situation.

The point I am ultimately getting at here is, it is not helpful to you, me or the other forum members for there to be unnecessary/duplicate posts on the forum. It makes it difficult for me to help you/others or for you/others to help me.

Anyway, I think I have gone off topic for the original thread.....lets go back on topic.

Hi

I have one question here and this one is very urgent if anyone here can suggest

I have Electronics and Communication degree and responsibilities of NOC 2174.

Am I eligible for NOC 2174 ???

This question might have been repeated , I am not sure about that, but your sincere reply will be of help.

Best Regards

The above is an example of the type of question I don't really understand.

You state that, "I have Electronics and Communication degree and responsibilities of NOC 2174"....but then you ask "Am I eligible for NOC 2174". You having the requisite education and work experience responsibilities (as defined by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada) is what makes you eligible for a NOC category.

It's like you are stating that you know you are eligible for NOC 2174....but then you are asking if you are eligible for NOC 2174.

But then, like I said, (maybe) I just don't understand the question.

I am sure you know the question is repeated.....everybody knows NOC 2174 and NOC 2147 are the MOST popular NOCs.

(Note that there are other considerations you may also need to take into consideration for your FSW application....but I am sure you already know this)

You can read the following info. to get an idea of what NOC 2174 - Computer programmers and interactive media developers is about:

NOC 2174 - Computer programmers and interactive media developers

Also refer to all NOC 2174 titles.

I don't know what your actual job responsibilities were/are, but since your degree is in Electronics and Communication, you may also want to consider

NOC 2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)

All NOC 2147 titles

Like prince_of_darkness indicates below, your actual job responsibilities is main determination in NOC eligibility....however, the reason I suggested taking a look at NOC 2147 is because I figure with a degree in Electronics and Communication you might have also had some job experience responsibilities with NOC 2147....but again, like I said....I don't know what your actual job responsibilities were/are.

(Being eligible for multiple NOCs might be to your advantage)

Anyway, I am out for today. Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.

gulati,
your job reference letter mostly defines your eligibility irrespective of your education.

I hope it helps.
