Neel said his earlier card was Master and now it's Visa, so without any doubt his 16 digit number has changed (unless a new inter-operability rule has been announced unknown to us as of yet) as well the Card type which we use to select (tick) in the Fee Payment Form. Master uses a different series and Visa uses another series of first 4 digits. So essentially, a new card isn't helping Neel, rather he is exploiting the fact that the older one will be valid for some time alongside the new card and assuming that older one still works while it is being debited by CIC. Am I right Neel? Can you please shed more light on it?

@ Adrenaline,
sorry, i couldn't make anything out of your response. Let me rephrase my Original post- I got a new VISA Signature (chip) card from HDFC Bk in Apr sometime, & filled those new card details in the CIC form. I did mention earlier that i anticipated this issue & approached HDFC Bk to issue me new card out of my turn (i.e, waiting for them to process it on their own & send it later on). As you rightly observed, moving from Mastercard to VISA everything has changed except for the Cardholder's name, of course & credit limit !
hope this helps.

Lets assume that CIC has started working on 30th May and checked the completeness of the application received on first working day that is 6th May.
Now its been a week since they have started and probably they might have reached to applications received on 7th, 8th, 9th and probably 10th May keeping in mind not many ppl have sent their app initially due to ECA and IELTS.

I do believe that 6th, 7th and 8th May applicants are highly due to deliver some news and that includes me as well.

Gosh this silence after Marta is frustrating. :-[

Does anyone know when was Marta's application submitted to CIC and what NOC she applied under?

Yeah, I also expect the updates to slow down a bit after that 1st update here, cause the dates you mentioned would have seen a lot more applications being received by the CIO.

Thanks, I most likely will.
BTW, I'm not sure what you meant about the notary statement in national language - did you mean the statement from the certified translator that he/she is actually certified etc?
I actually got that statement (affidavit) in English from my translator(s).

Yes,affidavit is from the translator, but notary statement is certification from the court of justice-You need to translate this, too.

ezap...also sent off his application on the 5th, lets hope his forms were ok.

Friends ,
Can this be a cause for concern ?

" IN the background declaration form, I over looked that it has to be Mother name at her birth and i filled her present name and not maiden name. "

Can this sail through?
Regards
Huzcan

Hi huzcan,

Where is it written that we have to fill mother's maiden name and not the present name?
I don't see it in application guide link

Guys, when you say stapled the forms, do you mean that you stapled all the forms toghether or do you mean you stapled the sheets of each form in a per document basis?
