I have the same question... I don't think the banks would inform us when the DD is encashed.. any ideas on this?
I do not think it is easy to know because for the bank draft to be prepared, money must have been taken initially from your bank account.
That is why must people will prefer to use Credit Card. This method will enable you to know when it is debited

Just to be certain, I actually called my Credit Card company. "IMMIGRATION CANADA FSW SYDNEY NS" hasn't tried for any money yet :-(
I really hope spill.over isn't kidding and I stand a chance, but I must admit to feeling that the cap is probably already full for me.

Based on his posts, he has to be kidding. Unless he's sending two separate application.

Well in my case I made a DD with Standard Chartered Bank but I do not have an account there, so I had to pay in cash. They put the money in a suspense account. I'll call them on the next working day to inquire if there's any way of knowing.

I don't think spill over is kidding, he may just be lucky that the officer his application is distributed to believes the application is ok.
It is not one person that is doing the job.

Well you are correct but DD is little economical as forex charges are high on credit card.... As well as there is no uncertainty of transaction fail/ technical issue like in CC... So it's guaranteed money to cic...

You can know status of DD from bank also as initially money has been debited from your account and lies with bank so whenever cic withdraw DD money from bank account is debited.... So your bank is very well aware about dd transaction....

I hope spill.over is correct, but I do note that on May 27, 2013, 01:34:53 pm he made a post that suggests he may still be completing forms?

Yup that's so true,,....he was talking about additional sheets to his applications that he needs to fill... and I'm hoping that spill.over is not fooling around with us because we are here for each other in this forum, trying to find the new path and future for us, all on the same boat!

I sent university and secondary school for my wife (although not an ECA for her, only for me)

Secondary school certificates are required for both main applicant and spouse. that costed me 7 days delay

You mean - unless you have any post secondary education?
My wife didn't finish her post secondary education, so the best she has is the secondary school certificate. But I don't plan to send it because it doesn't get us any points in Adaptability. Well, I may send it, but don't expect anything from it.

Am I correct?

Education documents r not required for spouse
For spouse ,IELTS is required (only if u r claiming points). Otherwise not required

What I came to know, as far as it was mentioned in that form (don't remember which one) then you need to submit it. Though its not giving any points but it is good to send it

Send a copy, it will not give points to u
