I'm in NOC 2174 and I think that that NOC will be much above the 2.5% of total CIC intake. The reason for that is that that NOC is made of programmers, that are online everyday and often the whole day and are much pointed towards the forums, searches related to immigration etc and so they have much bigger chance of stumbling onto this forum (similar to other more or less tech related nocs, like 2147 for example).

Also - in past years NOC 2174 was not even shortlisted for immigration, if it would - it would surely raise the 2011's part of 2.5%.

And one more thing - today, much much more people is online than in 2011, so all of those people have - again - more chances to learn about this forum (or hear about it in the mean time) and come here to register.

So I'd say, overall we'll be close to 10%. and NOC 2174 will be over 15-20%.
At least that's what I tell myself every day before I go to sleep... :)

Exactly balkanada ...

No way!
IELTS band score will not make any difference. as far as you score 67 points you are qualify.secondly if someone score 90 doesnt mean he/she is on top list for PR process!

for IELTS min requirement should be covered and min 67 points should be there with applicant. that's it!!

IELTS score will not make any more difference for visa officer.

I tell you with example..if you see in asia there are many applicant who is scoring 8 band(because they spent a lot of time for the preparation of exam) in IELTS and in Australia/Europe /SA applicant score 6 each band(but not all candidate) though it is their first language!!. The reason behind this is they usually don't prepare for the test and IELTS is not only English ability is important but test technique is having vital importance!!

So,every one have different story behind the band score! they have set min 6 band for each occupation, jut to make sure that applicant can communicate at work place and withing Canadian community!!

Thanks!

There is no screening of best candidates. Not even allowed by FSWC operation procedure. ;)

For FSWC 1 and 2, it's the points based system with selection factors. Either you qualify or you don't.

When they take 300 complete applications than they do the assessment of those 300 applications based on selection factors.

You really think that CIC has time to look whose IELTS and work experience is better so they can give the PR visa to someone who has IELTS 8 instead of 7? Or for example to give the PR visa to someone who has 3 years of work experience instead of 1?

Read this please. ;)

Is it a must to sign the additional sheet for previous personal history attached to the SIGNED background declaration form? However, the instruction guide did not mention anything on signing.

No it is not required to sing on additional page of personal history or additional sheet of employment.
however you need to mentioned the title clearly..I mean section and point number and applicant name in additional sheets.
Thanks!

Hello alta, u got all 8.0 in IELTS,,, that would surely impress many visa officers especially if u from a non-english country, VOs are human too.. what really happens behind these immigration cases is often not known by anyone except the Visa officer himself.

So I believe this is the last year of the immigration process as we know. Another reason to keep everyone nervous

#fill the forms#

for "Schedule 3 - Economic Classes - Federal Skilled Works" Point 12, Your Work Experience

there is not enough space to write down all the details of main duties, can i simply write "to see attached" plus a separate sheet of paper with details?

thanks

don't do that... write as much as you can ... at least most important and main two roles.... they would understand...
