Personally I think credit card is better than DD. As you can track when they charge your credit card. That means they are processing your application (first stage at least). For DD you have to call Bank and ask them if it has been en cashed.

The risk with CC is if your card is declined for any reason - perhaps they would send it back your papers at that point. Personally I've taken that risk as my bank said it would take a while to get a DD.

Friends need a quick help .
do we have to mention anywhere for which employment we are claiming points and for which we are not? or will they calculate on their own? There are 2 employments for which I am not claiming points , so is there some where i need to mention the same?

Please help.
Thanks
Huz

I think you should put your last 10 year data in front of CIC.... as in forms they ask you each and every thing for last 10 years. So if that experianc ein not fall in that period you can avoid it... But if it was in last 10 years you should declare it on forms....

For point part they will check.... but proactively you can mentioned in your cover letter if you want to do so....

its nothing about the law, you can ask for the 2nd copy . all i did was mailed the institute that I needed one more, I had to pay some minimal amount( i cant remember now) and I had it sent by post. its nothing to do with UK law.

Wow, I think you are one of very few. Probably it has something to do with the fact that you're in UK and that UK has laws that force UK institutions to not withhold any data that they have on a citizen.

I'm not really that much knowledgeable of UK law system, but I have read one case when someone needed a copy but couldn't get it from IELTS and in the end he did get it by calling upon that same law and threatening to sue them if they don't honor it.
Unless it was all made up, of course - but it's online so it must be true. :)

Please update

destination in canada: Toronto

As long as your degree is verified by WES, ICAS or the other nominated instittue. and your employment letter list the duties of 2147 then go ahead and apply. it doesnt matter what u studied and where ur working. as long as you have evidence to prove it. and u dont need to be a licensed engineer to apply. so ur fine just go ahead and apply. please bear in mind im no immigration officer but using sharing my knowledge. i have also applied for 2147.

Hello,
As of 4may 2013, immigration office only consider 300 applications per eligible occupation. As a mechanical engineer, can anyone advise me will it be too late if I send my documents in Aug 2013, When do you estimate that 300 applications will be filled. I don't want to pay fees when there is no space left for me.

thanks for the encouragement prince dxb, i appreciate it a lot...actually, i'm done with all my requirements, i sent all of them to my agency but i have not heard back from them if they have already sent it to nova scotia...:( they told us the latest they will send our docs will be yesterday may 23 but i have not received any confirmation from them nor any email with the airway bill number...:( moreover, i'm a public health nurse, do you think the consuls will consider me under noc 2263?

Not sure of the Designation though...coz I do not find it in NOC 2263 category....recheck before sending...otherwise ur file might come back.

Ok, thanks for the clarification, is one better than the other?

Its personal choice...da only advantage CC has over DD...is u get to know ur application status...when ur CC has been charged.....but da fear is, for any reason if ur CC doesn't work at that particular moment they might return ur application....:(

Dont waste your time and money if you intend to apply in Aug 2013, probably NOC 2132 - MECHANICAL ENGINEERS MIGHT BE FILLED BY THEN.
