I believe, this time CIO wouldn't return any package because of not filling VO as oppose to 2010/11 OP bulletin

As per OP06b, apps received on or after Jun 26, 2010:
Pursuant to paragraph 10(1)(c) of the IRPR, applicants are required to, among other things, specify a visa office that is compliant with R11 on their IMM 0008 (07-2011).
Applicants who do not complete this part of the IMM 0008 correctly, e.g. leave it blank or specify any office that is not a visa office, have not complied with paragraph R10(1)(c). As per section 12 of IRPR, the CIO will return the entire application including the cost recovery fee to the applicant.

However there is no mention of such rule in the OP06c issued for May 4, 2013 applicants.

I think 2013 applicants are safe even though they have not mentioned the VO.
Trust this suffices.

Long Long Long waiting has finally come to an end. I received my PER email yesterday at 6 PM Indian Time. It was a dreadful last 3 months just waiting endlessely and hoping for the best. I had almost lost hopes and didnt have the courage to update my records in this forum. So i remained as a silent spectator.

Learning

1> My DD got enchased on 17th July and bank still claims that they have no clue on this. So donot take this approach.
2> Applications are sorted and processed rigorously based on date received is again a wrong assumption. I have see on this spreadh sheet tracker that application received on 21st May got PER almost 2 to 3 days back itself. My applicaiton was reached on 16th May and i got PER on 26th July.
So there might be several reasons for which there might be a delay in processing.
3> Calling CIC and sending emails to them is just not going to work.. Atleast it did not work for me.

I tried using the ECAS service on CIC's website. However, it does not work. I managed to get the UCI number and the Application Number on Phone.

Calling CIC redirects you to various options. I chose Permanent Resident.... and entered my UCI number using telephone key pad. This automated system has started telling me the my application was received on May 17. This was not the case before as the call center system transfers the call to an agent without telling any information.

It seems that they have updated the call center system but have not yet updated the ECAS.

So for people who did not see anything on ECAS should enter their UCI number (in the phone) while connected with CIC and get the information. If you listen things like that your application was received on this and this date, then, stop worrying any more as your ECAS status will update soon and PER is on the way.

The telephone recording on CIC and the ECAS system (online) is the same, just a difference of timing......

I am submitting within Canada. The Online fess option was the preferred method as per the Information guide.
There was no category for FSW but in the CIC online payment FAQs it was mentioned that the Amount matters and not the category so I paid the fees online and they sent a receipt to my email. I just attached the receipt with the payment form. Just making sure there is no CC or DD realization problem.

Wow....I just read guide again and yes, u r right...Online fee payment is acceptable.
Why the hell, I didn't do that...its much simpler than DD and CC.

I think CIC is still in toddler class and is learning by refusing our applications because of fee payment issues.
