Dear Member,
Since you have paid with Demand Draft as the same case of mine. I would like to seek some information from you.
Could you please share the bank name from where you have purchased the demand draft ?
How many days it took to get it cleared ?
I think people using CC are have much better information rather than DD but due to security issues (sometime) CC may be dangerous !!

Just to counter eight -1's, one +1 for you (also, for all the great work).

Whenever I answer this question correctly I get eight -1's........so " I have no idea" We just have to wait and see. If they were going to be charged. I would think it would be by early next week.

thanks for sharing the info, Can union Bank of India was able to trace whether demand draft was cleared or not or you have to wait for the PER ?

No, UBI was not able to trace the clearance. They said the local bank will send a mail to the clearing bank at Nova Scotia and they will in turn take 15 working days to respond if the DD is cleared or not.

We cannot expect our local banks to keep sending mails on and off, so i had to wait for the mail from the CIC.!!



@june17th2174- the courier i used was FEDEX.

Apply online for PCC, using link: http://www.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink

take a print out of the application, ur passport, change of address proof if any,

Go to your local passport seva kendra office between 9-10:30 am, pay the fees, go through the procedure. (It will take a minimum of 4 hours).

If there is no change of address from the passport to the address you currently live in India, they will issue the PCC across the table
If there s change from the current address u are living in India to the address in the passport, it will take 15-20 days for the PCC, you should again go to your local passport seva kendra to collect your PCC
