When you click on "In Process" in ECAS what does it say in the historical?

Nothing has changed there, the details page shows same info as before: "We received your application for permanent residence on May 9, 2013."

What was the information you included with the resubmitted form for CIC to have maybe located the initial application

He has his UCI from a previous application.with that they were able to locate his file

May be but according to processing manual section 8 , if applicaiton is not complete then it is returned surprisingly this was not the case for him. LOL did cic follow its manual ? very lucky guy

I don't think his cc was charged because he submitted the additional missing form. He was charged based on the original application submitted which was considered fair enough. congrats to him!

I don't know why people expect the ecas to be updated daily or whenever we hear from CIC / VO. I have repeatedly told here that ecas is updated only once weekly, and last time, it was updated between Sat / Sun evening [Toronto time].

* P.S. it may not always show what we get via VO.

Should have been added BEFORE it was checked for completeness. It was easy for the CIO to match a file with UCI then without UCI.

, what was the reason you state in your explanation, like why was it missing ??

There's one reason to refrain from leaving identifiable info in the doc!
if the Man was really kind enough, I'm sure there will be one above him/her that won't be so kind and could use this for look up the error.
Or - if the Man just wasn't paying attention - here's a chance for him to notice it, go back and fix the 'bug'.
Anyway - it's a possible lose-lose situation, so let's never mention it again in here!

Just a personal opinion, read it or not, follow it or not. I have not been to Canada until now, but I have read a lot and talked even more with people who immigrated there 5/10/20/30 years ago and the most important advice I got over the time is to be a good person in Canada and good will "come back". I don't like seeing people being harsh just 4 fun, not helping just because they don't want to, taking advantage and not giving anything good in return. In my opinion these kind of people won't succeed in Canada (or anywhere else...). So before doing something, it doesn't hurt thinking: is it good? is it helpful? is it worth it???...Just my belief

Have a good night and a great week-end (especially the ones celebrating))! Hope next week will bring me good news also !

CIC charged my CC today even though my initial application was missing a form. I resubmitted this form.

Congrats Gogabutt!! This really shows there is hope for everyone and that miracles,favor and luck can happen to anyone. We only can guess and speculate but destiny will always have its way.

For Jigzy and Islandbabe, you both are really doing a good job. Not forgetting Marta too.

To all out there, never give up! Try and believe. The rest is in the hands of God. No man is GOD!!!

To all others who got good news...Congrats. To those of us waiting for one...Wait in faith and not fear or worry for what is yours will be yours. Its either to be or not to be.

Will properties under my name (car/house owned) be considered as an asset that can contribute to the funds needed?

No. Only liquid fund, provident fund etc can be shown as settlement fund.

Thankk you thats was very... inspirational,, now i dont know if you have realised we are 700 pgs plus due to these irelevant "inspirational" mini essays who cant just say a simple good night and good luck and in the morning they come back with another essay about birds chirping n *censored word*, please post such on the chit chat forum

People need to realise most people here here want relevant information not lectures of common sense!!
