@ Indian fellow applicants on Birth Certificate:

Just logged in and read few posts before going to sleep, thought to post a reply.

What I think is, it's up to the VO OR the person that is checking the application completeness to pass / fail the applicant. The issue is, most of you say that you do not have Birth Certificates before certain years [I know as Pakistan had the same *censored word*ty system at that time, but somehow, they managed to setup a system (for once ), to register the Birth by showing Passport AND/OR Matric Certificate along with parents identity and a government organization that regulates local identification cards will officially generate a Computerized Birth Certificate in English and National language on the same page], but, few of you will argue too that we obtained the BC by etc etc way.

Now the issue comes here, when many Indian applications reaches at CIO and they find few of them having BCs while the rest are sending supporting evidence, they get confuse on which one to believe [Matric & Passports might have been accepted IF all of Indian applicants send it without adding BCs and explaining the situation]. Now the decision is at VO's discretion.


P.S. on a lighter note, VO's at Local VO & at CIO know the issues different countries face regarding documentations, so they exactly know if someone is saying that by xyz reason, I was not able to send it. This knowledge comes handy in above situations

Agreed. I would also recommend to spray a few drops of finest trendy perfume (preferably French) on your papers.
That will definitely differentiate your application amongst others and will help to tune the officer who is reviewing it in the right mood, besides it shows him that you have a stylish and refined personality and Canada will benefit greatly from having you as their PR and citizen.
I used Baccarat Les Larmes Sacrees de Thebes. It is way too expensive and hot, they must like it.

Besides, a stylish and refined envelop, preferably handmade by famous artist, slightly different size than ordinary, curved corners, will make a difference.

And don't forget about you signature, it must be neat and tidy and artistic at the same time, as it tells a lot about your personality, you never know they might be using graphology in their selection process.

P.S. I also put a 100USD bill in my package, just in case if none of above would work out, to greatly improve officer's attitude. After all, we all human and have families to feed. ;D

Just because your family has it doesn't speak for the entire population of India or circumstances with everyone in all states and from times since Independence till present. A pinchful of some would definitely have something better than the rest of the others. Of course, things have changed over decades but that's how it was back then. Hope, you are analytic enough to understand what I mean!

I absolutely agree with what you said Adrenalineforu. People may have all the documents by virtue of where they live and sometimes family background.In India if you are staying in metro cities then you may have all the documents.But same doesn't apply for villages.

But for example people like me who got transferred in every two years because of my parent defence background, How I will get domicile certificate from a state? As the requirement is to live for 5-10 years in the particular state.So for me it is next to impossible to get a ration card or domicile as per rules.

@Joe. You may have all the documents that is great but in 70-80's it was really no awareness regarding birth certificate so many people don't have.And for people like me it's very difficult to go to the place of birth to get BC from municipal cooperation.As in few places I stayed there was only defence base and negligible civil administration.so what are my options???Just for information I changed 6 schools till my 12th. so it's really very difficult to have the required proofs to get these certificates (Address proof for x years, Landline phone bill,electriciy bill) as the stay will be short.

And one more thing my parents have their marriage certificate from 1974.and I am pretty sure very less people will have marriage certificates from those days..But this doesn't conclude that everyone should have as they have it from that time and can comment on others?

So I think we can have more insight once some indian guys who recieved PER can confirm what they sent and what was accepted.

Harry2k4 - All the best. I am sure you have double checked everything. Also, did you include the original IELTS score? - If IDP or British Council has sent provided only one original score sheet, I see that as the only hitch in overlapping the package receiving and sending action.

Spouse's work experience certificate is NOT required unless you are claiming points under the factor:- Adaptability - Your spouse or common-law partner's past work in Canada (Your spouse / partner did at least one year of full-time work in Canada on a valid work permit or while authorized to work in Canada. )

Hi guys,
As I already said, don't relay on that info. David Cohen is not CIC official person authorized to make statements. That info is from 2012 and we cannot be sure is it still valid or they changed completely the rules.
If it possible someone from the Indian guys who already have CC/DD charge and PER clarify what proof of BC they have sent.

wow, how many pages on indian BCs!!! Why not make it a separate topic??..I guess many ppl will be interested in it and also we don't mix the info we share here with this particular subject...It's just my opinion, hope it doesn't bother anyone ;D

As for next week, let's hope we'll have an update on Monday and at least 15 CC/DD encashed : !!!!!

Hello experts,

My application which was sent earlier got rejected and they asked me to re-apply, please advise if NOC 2171 (Information systems analysts and consultants) is still open!! If I start the process now it would take another month or two…is it advisable to start the process now or wait for next year.
