yeah they were fast until I got the Visa, this happened for few others too. I don't know the reason but I feel it is because of the NOC (2134 - chemical) and may b it was easy to complete my verification etc. lucky me :)
however, seems its not going that fast for re issuance & spouse addition otherwise I should have got DM this week!

I observe a pattern here..just my opinion..
in the week of June 2nd...I saw many ppl posting change in ecas status from In process to Decision made
In the last week, mostly people got medical requests
In last 3-4 days, passport requests are seen
Hoping to see DM in next few days!!

All the best for you :)

Hello,

Good day, I would like to inquire if somebody from this group submitted a self-affidavit of detailed job description and able to get a positive eligibility from cio and transfer to local visa office.

Please let me know, thanks.

CIC won't accept self-affidavit relating to job description... You should provide job reference letter... However, incase if you cant get the reference letter you can have a try by using the following,

1. First thing you have to do is to prove that you are working in that company in the same designation that you are claiming for fswp. For that submit your Job offer letter, Appointment letter, Salary slip, Form 16(if you are an Indian), Company ID card copy. If not all atleast 1 or 2 from this.
2. Job description given by your company at the time of your appointment (email or the hard copy in the letter head)
3. Communication details with your customers/ clients/colleagues/boss to prove that you have performed some of the jobs in NOC which you are applied(Use a highlighter to mark the duties)
4. A letter from you colleague stating you worked in so and so company and performed the duties matching with the NOC(explain the duties). Also submit his/her visiting card...
5. Atlast you can submit an affidavit as you mentioned to explain all things in details including why you were not able to submit reference letter.

Some of the forum members who tried this way have succeeded in their mission....

All the best

Hello I have been looking at the spreadsheet and I see that in the mos t cases after receiving the second line on ECAS the request for medicals vary from 0 days up to 2 months, my question is, does the ones who take just a few days was because they pay the RPRF in advance, or is just a blessing and good luck?
Please somebody answer this to me.

Best regards and luck to everybody

after receiving the request to pay the RPRF last week and not received the MR I send an email to ask about the MR to my VO, today I received the reply and they told me that at the stage of my app the MR is not needed yet and that they will contact me by email to request those when the time arrives, so I feel a little worried because I thought they would ask the MR soon. :-X :-X :-X :'( :'( :'(

Friends, got my first job. Initial weeks we were not even applying as we had planned to get settled with license and all first. After I started applying online (and did not sweat on it at all - just applied to say 15-20 openings on indeed.ca for few days), it took no more than 2 weeks of applying to get 5 calls, 5 interviews and 3 confirmed jobs. For now, I have selected one and given them date of joining.

But this is the case of IT jobs. Whenever I read in past about doctors and engineers doing survival jobs after landing here, I never believed that 100%. But the picture got clear after landing. Except for IT, Oil (and related industry), I really do not see much jobs and even locals struggle a lot. That makes lot of us wonder why so many more openings for fsw immigration when job scenario is so bad (well we know the reason). Also, the canadian experience story is also true and you need some reference to land a job here.

I am posting this not to discourage anyone, it is just so people landing come prepared and with right expectations (and enough funds for initial months). CIC has really calculated the POF correctly, it may take months to get a job in Canada. One more thing to add here is that I am sharing exp from Toronto area and am not so sure of situation in other provinces.

Last word - despite the above, it is all worth it - so keep your dream alive as everyone here eventually gets settled - sooner or later. Everyone goes through the process of settlement (like we did for PR), only for some the process is short and for some it is bit long.

All the best.
