I have raised an online query to NDVO. lets c what their response is.

I wanted this query clarified because the old passport carries US visa and single entry visa for canada from my previous years. thats y i got this doubt all of a sudden after sending all the documents 10 days back (

as far as I am aware...it is cool to send only the new passport...do not invent causes to sweat/worry unnecessarily.....if NDVO needs your old passport they will ask you for it...however please keep me posted on their reply if any...thanks in advance...btw...where r u from?

Me and my husband are planning to do ur landing in Oct and possible come back to finish our packing and jobs. I understand that it takes exactly 3 months for the PR card to be delivered. It is ok for us to come back or i read that there is a thing called a Travel Document . We would like to move altogether in march. Please advise anyone..

Hi Friends,

I am going to vfs office post lunch to submit my passports.
I have few queries:
1) I am going to ICICI bank to get the DD of Rs 57800 (28900X2). Please confirm the name in whose favor DD should be made.
2) DO I need to give a covering letter of fill any form in the vfs.
I sill be submitting following docs in vfs
a) Passports
b) RPRF draft
c) Medical examination acknowledgement
d) Request letter from NVDO


Please correct me if I need to submit any further document.

As you are getting the DD in INR it should be in favour of Canadian High Commission.
all the old and current passports of Primary and dependant applicants should be sent
what about PCC?, have you already sent it with Application

hello

i had also d same situation but i had sent both passports thn it will more easy for verify because as compared to my old passport having old pic too so if u send bot it also be fine.

I had a similar situation and I had sent only the new one.... Did not have any communication/objection from NDVO regarding that so far...I had also verified with my consultant (David Cohen) before sending only the new one...

I have heard if you have a valid visa in your old passport then it has to be submitted ( Not 100% sure -but logically correct) ,else it is not required since the new passport will show the old passport number and the details ( cancelled ).

If someone has a valid visa on his/her old passport, then it is advisable to send the old passport along with the new one. There is another scenario in which if old passport doesn't have any valid visa but the passport holder has a travel history which can be confirmed from the old passport, then it is also recommended to send old passport along with the new one. In any of above cases, if passport holder doesn't send the old passport along with the new one, it is not going to put any negative impact on the application; it will be on the discretion of visa officer, he/she might ask for the old passport or just stamp the PR visa on the new passport.

If there is no valid visa on the old passport or there is no travel history recorded on the old passport, then it is not required to send the old passport along with the new one.

I don't think so that you should be worried at all. NDVO has resources to verify your travel history. If you visa officer would want to see your old passport, he/she will ask you to send your old passport but he/she is not going to reject your application at all. So don't worry and just keep your finger crossed for your turn.

Hi All,

Completed medicals for my family and myself yesterday. Has anyone on this forum had any abnormalities reported in their blood / urine report?

I had severe viral infection last week so was taking antibiotics..it will reflect in the blood and urine report..so am a bit worried ???

Does anyone know how the VO deals with reported abnormalities?

Please help.
