I think we all are over analyzing and over predicting. Keep cool so we have relevant info on the forum.
There is a very high number of applicants (new ones), who apply through consultants and would hardly visit forums. Hence the estimates, predictions, analysis can all be not so accurate and are just indicators. Look at how our estimate of top NOC being 2174 is already beat up by real numbers from CIC.

I am sure that..

1. There is no lollypop, error, politics or corruption in regards to the process update or cap numbers posted at CIC. This is in line with them now taking up applications of second week and we see CC charged for people from 8th May receive date. These current charges will get included to cap update site in coming week.

2. They (CIC) are working oblivious to any calls/pressure from this or any other forum. We sometimes talk as if CIC employees are also monitoring this forum - they don't have interest or time for that. Also, they do not sit and conspire on raising revenues of courier companies - this is all run-away imagination - sply from the 2nd/3rd world candidates as corruption if common in those countries. USA/Canada do not have that on grass-root, you can not bribe a traffic cop there.

3. The numbers are correct and are for first week. Our forum numbers are mostly of a section of people who mostly applied themselves. There is a very high number of other people who applied through consultants and who applied themselves but are not posting on or visiting this forum. So, the predictions that we are 10% plus for 2174 can not be true.

Just relax, chill, the real indicators are the CC/DD charged - so let us capture that info.

Buddy, you took everything too seriously! :-\ If you could make out the slight sense of humor involved behind what people say, you would not have written such a serious note.
There are more often times when people just have to speak out to keep their inner pressure relieved; that's what it is. Of late this space has turned into 70% chit-chat and 30% info, but nobody can be blamed for it. It's the anxiety that speaks and that's an integral part of the human nature. There will be as many ideas as many minds.

Hi.... i have submitted my application and i believe they would have received it.... but does anyone know what is normally the time frame expected for first communication from CIC from the time they recieve the pack...

1st you can spend some time reading through the forum threads... and
2nd check the data shteet at least. Better (recommended) fill in your details as well, not just stalk...

I checked with my bank today and my DD is not yet cashed by CIC. I am just hoping it is purely because of processing time of DD (submitting to a bank, processing time and update to my bank that the DD is cashed etc) Vs. CC (online transactions).

I am feeling sad...

Thoughts please??

Hi Jig nesh - My application reached there on 8th May and the method of payment was DD. I checked with my bank today and the DD is still outstanding.. :'(

What do you think processing time for transactions from CC Vs. DD? People who paid using DD may have to wait for additional days?

It all depends on how fast they charge CC/DD on a daily basis. so far we heard 3 guys CC had been charged in 3 days and also must be some DD as well but we dont know as no one has reported. It looks to me they are bit slow but at least happy to see they are working.

Nirmal did you send your application from usa? the DD' in USA will get processed a lot faster than DD's in india.
You had sent your applicaton on the 5th i .e the sunday ( india ). which courier was working then?

Yup...according to New Delhi time, it happened yesterday somewhere between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM.
