No update my friend except for the fact that my DD is not encashed after 25+ days even though it is in INR. All my papers(PP, RPRF,Medicals, PCCs) are with NDVO and waiting for status to change to DM

may be i am the odd one out... but my first preference would always be australia... and its mainly due to weather... the snow canada gets might be fun initially but later on can get very annoying. apart from that australia has much better outdoor life, a factor which really makes your life different to what we experience in our home countries. i think weather conditions are actually very very important in choosing immigration destination coz when i was in the UK, i remember how continuous rain+snow would make me feel so gloomy for no obvious reason.

This is ofcourse my personal assessment, so please feel free to disagree. ;D ;D

You are right..But compare to UK & Australia Canada is very friendly with Immigrants..

I might be wrong ...but as per my consultant ...

1. We cannot make a DD in CAD payable at Delhi. Mine was from HDFC, they told me if the DD is supposed to be payable at New Delhi it has to be in INR (or) if you don't want to mention payble at New Delhi then they can give in CAD

2. So if your DD is in CAD, then the same will be sent to Canada (or) or Local bank tied up with canadian bank for encashing and this will take more time.

Keep checking with your bank on the DD status.

Dude your PER is around the corner... the guy who got the fees encashed on 13th Jan got his PER just two days ago...
