Its better you get in touch with the visa office of yours, directly if you have filed it yourself or using your agents' help.
The link where you should log your request for update on your status is mentioned in the email or letter you may have received from your visa office after your file got transferred from Nova Scotia, Canada to your local visa office.
If not, its better talking to CIC at Nova Scotia itself, given your situation.

IVR: 1-1-2-1-2-1
Then 8 digit client id number will be asked, listen the request 3 times without entering client id number then the call is automatically transferred to an agent. Here you discuss with the agent quoting your name, address, dob, email address mentioned, cell phone/telephone number mentioned in application which they will request for verification of identity.
