Thanks for your reply..... You relieved some of my stress.... can you please confirm whether "PER" mean "Positive Eligibility Report" ?? Secondly at what stage in this process the Police Reports are required as I did not send them along with the application?? Lastly why it takes around 6-8 months for Medical request?? What generally happens during that time at the concerned Visa Office.

You can send the police certificates to your visa office a couple of weeks after your PER. For that you should refer to the webpage of london VO. If you don't send PCC at your own, VO will contact you to provide these at some stage and they will then give you a month or so to comply.
Between PER and MR, the time is just because of the queue. During this time your application is sitting idle rather waiting to be reviewed by a case officer to be more specific.
