Hi All,

I am applying under noc 0211- Engineering Managers and already send my documents on 14-06-2013.

Now I doubt whether I have signed Section B for No Children in Additional Family Information Form 5406E .

Will this be a reason for rejection? My spouse is sure that she signed this section in her form.

Well it doesn't matter anymore. You have sent it already and there is nothing anyone can do about it. My advise is to just pray and stay calm. VO's treat files differently so pray that a nice and happy VO treats your file. Best of luck.

Meanwhile if you look at the rejection letter that accompanied Martha's document when it was returned, you will have an idea of the likely mistakes that could most likely lead to a return of applications. I am sure this isn't one of them but when it gets to Positive evaluation, no one can tell but to just hope and pray

Hi all!
just returned from an 8 days holiday at the seaside, sad to see that no one has any updates..I paid for Wifi one day during my vacation, hoping for news but nothing.... I am just wondering if they are on strike or not...I am really dissapointed by the fact that CIC is praising transparency but they are lacking this "value"...At least put a notice on the CIC website/twitter/facebook anywhere saying "we are working(or not) on FSW applications and we will update (this year :-\)"...I am waiting for 6weeks to pass so I can email them (has anyone emailed them yet???)...I am also waiting (in vain I guess) for a reply from Minister Kenney....

Maybe this week will be our lucky one :

Yes the relevant Border Agency does but not in all cases. They just do a random pick and open to see its content. Yes they seal it back and return if nothing incriminating is found. You know what I mean. But that isn't usually a problem to the best of my knowledge.

Did anyone of you choose "yes" at the question 6-j, on Background declaration document, for the "been detained, incarcerated or put in jail"?

I'm not sure if I fall under that case, since I was picked in non-targeted, mass raid by police, after some civil protest 15 years ago. I was released next morning with no explanation of why or what happened, no investigation, suspicions, charges etc.
I suppose that still would match for that 6j point?

Did anyone have experience with his/her application while ticking any of those questions as 'yes'? It definitely doesn't seem to be a 'filter' like - if you tick 'yes' then you are non-eligible, but I'm not sure what happens in the real life?

I guess you can tick NO, as there was no case against you. If you had a case against you to prove this point, then you could have ticked it yes. But for now, you can say No.

Yea its understandably a Terrorism check for parcels coming from specific countries with large Muslim populations. So it may not apply to some countries like it would others. But not to worry, it will eventually be delivered.
