Guys my police certificate is in Hindi and according to CIC they need to be translated, the CIC website mentions that translation can only be done by a 'Certified Translator'. So, who exactly in Indian context is a 'Certified Translator'?? Please help.
i think authorized notaries may translate the certificate....i also got one of my certificates translated...

My status changed to "We started processing your application on December 9, 2013."
expecting MR soon may be next week. Wish all of you early MRs. :) :) :) :) :)
Congo.... ;D

Out of these notary persons some are translators who have authorisation for signing and stamping translations.
You can enquire bout them from court only.....

Mate, when you go to court, there are many notary sitting and waiting for customers and they have translator in contact to refer to.
OR I would suggest you to translate it your self and get it signed by them to save time. Otherwise they will take more time and money.. :P :P

Dear saurabhs

You can do it in two ways......

1. Go to a public notary( advocate with license)...... Ask him to prepare an affidavit.....where he will translate it
In english on bond paper and notorize it....... Which will be valid.....,
Or
2. Go to a certified translator........ H/ she will translate it and put their certification....... Then notorize it by public notary.......

It works either way.....
Cheers :)

Well thats nothing new to hear. Most of the forum members hear the same from their respective banks.
In my case, I made it through Axis bank, collaboration with JP Morgan Canada. Axis Banker check it for me and update.
May be because I have good relation with him, Not sure if they do the same service to others too.

All I would suggest you is to contact the bank again, may be higher level Manager or so.
OR You may have a copy of the DD try and find the concern email address through google and send them email and ask. They might reply in few days.
