Royal Bank of Canada services are really disgusting...they wont answer to ur problems...If it is an intermediate bank then its all ur luck...I had a bitter experience with it when I applied for ECA through it...It takes a hell of time to ur DD to process through that...but hope not to happen to u and all the best...

OMG!!! Actually my consultant took DD for me from Indusind bank. Royal Bank of Canada is the bank with which they have tie up in Canada. ??? ??? ??? ???

BEST BANK IN INDIA TO GET DD FOR CAD IS HDFC BANK , THEY HAVE TIE UP WITH SCOTIA BANK , ITS THE MOST EFFICIENT & CUSTOMER FRIEND;LY BANK IN CANADA , THEY REPLY IN 24-48 HRS TO YOUR QUERY AND PROCESSING TIME IS MINIMUM.

Any body made DD payment through Royal Bank of Canada? The Indian partner of it is Indosind Bank. How is their service?

I got it from them and the Indusind people are very heplful

Just send an email at "remittance@indusind.com" by giving them your draft number

They will ask you for "Transaction Reference Number"

If you have the same (The same will be available from where you made your draft) just gave them and if you don't have just ask, I haven't and please process the request without the same

They will reply you within 2 days regarding the exact status of your draft

Twice I went through the process of passport renewal last year and in both cases, it had to go through the police verification. The process of verification as I could understand, is as follows.

1. Passport office will send the verification request to Police commissioner office.
2. Commissioner office will send the request to Local police station.
3. Local police will complete the verification and it goes back to Commissioner office
4. Commissioner office will send it back to passport office.

For all the above, the movement from one place to another can take around 1 to 2 weeks. You may have to meet the appropriate person in these two offices to get the speed. Normal process can take a minimum of 1 month. But you can always speed this up by letting them know about the emergency. In my case, they helped in which ever way they could.

I had PCC done 2 weeks back. it goes for verification if your passport is having different address from current address.
Also if Passport is more than 2 years old .

IF you have applied online you might be able to see the status . The status might be if you dont get the PCC in 3 weeks you should contact your local police station.

I would suggest to wait for at least 10-12 days and visit local police station.

for me the police called me after 14 days on mobile and came home and verified ( my address in passport is different from current address)

I've a question regarding I applied PCC for my wife somehow it went into verification mode.. now PSK guys say they have initiated and request is pending with SP office, Distt West Delhi.. I enquired today regarding the status they say its all manual here.. they wont recieve any such request... nor they will process it.. tell me how to get my wife's PCC as I've already recd my meds and I'm going for it

I don't know the transaction number as becoz my consultant has taken the DD for me. But I do have the scanned copy of the DD along with the DD number. I think better I can send them the attachment of the same...
