hi guys, i received an email from CIO stating" Your application has been received and is awaiting initial processing. Notification will be sent in due course"..what does it mean? what usually happens in initial processing? need clarity...thanks

Initial processing - They calculate the points and check If u have sent all the documents n filled all the required forms. If they satisfy with this then they charge n send u an email which include the file number...(If u r within the Cap)

I had also recieved the ditto email from CIO when I sent an enquiry email. No body exactly knows what doesn it mean. Just to share my experience, my CC was charged after 7 days of receiving this email from CIO and after 1 day of 300 CAP limit announced by CIO.

thank you.. i just pray that same as you they will charge my DD after a week, but my CAP is already filled..

NOVA21 you have been waiting for your PPR for more than 3 months now after your medicals. Did you try to check with Visa Office why it is taking long? You may think to apply for your GCMS notes.

I checked Colombo High commission of Canada website.. they clearly say questions regarding application will only be answered if the average period of processing time (Colombo-23 months) passed. moreover we can only communicate via email..

I might apply for GCMS notes next year if I dont get it..

Yes it is true but my AOR date is 13 sept 13 and my application reached CIO at 21st May 2013.
