Sigh....I do hope someone gets some good news soon. Marta's sad news has thrown us into a state of "devastated anxiety". I am not sure about updating files at this stage, if CIC already assessed the ones received in the first 2 weeks. Lets just hope we get some more news REALLY REALLY soon and of a good nature this time!!!!

Generic Form was updated around evening of May 4th NS time [Most of the couriers that were scheduled to send on 4th were already in transit by then]. It's the checklist that got changed on May 17th.

I don't believe that. I remember downloading all the docs post May 4 and yet got the generic 0008 from 12-2012.

The entire package Kaska, they sent her entire package back , so she needs to update the form and send with her "new" package.

If CIC rejects the application with the old generic form that have every other form updated ( Schedule 3 etc) then we will know exactly how meticulous/nit picky they are being, IF persons with the old form get CC charged or PER tehn we will know that they are at least trying to be considerate.

Yes JohnnyZee many persons had a similar experience, even I did, the old form was saved in you cache, you had to update/delete cache to get the new forms

Yup, there is no point second guessing CIC. We'll just have to wait for them to either charge our CCs or reject us! Happy waiting...

My birth ceriticate did not include one of my names, just my middle name and Dads name. I hope there is no problem with that? I submitted it just like that.

Same situation with me - My birth certificate does not have my name either, it has only my parents name, my birth place, time etc.

As on 18th April, it was written on the site that prospective candidates can go ahead and start the steps, so if they have changed the forms after 18th April, it should not be our fault........... What we can do? Where we can raise our voice officially?
or we have no option except to wait for rejection.....

What Seniors can suggest here......?

Alright, I called CIC and expressed all the complaints that people like Marta and many have about May 4 updated form. The lady understood and said she'll elevate the issue. This was one thing I felt I can do for others at least, though hopefully I'm not affected by this. :-\ I literally politely told them that the whole process is so messed up!

I have one question regarding Additional Dependents Form.

I am married and have one kid of 9 months.

I have filled the generic form and added both dependents in it(both wife and kid)

Now the CIC guide says that we have to submit this form for all our dependents BUT the checklist says : (if applicable) Completed, dated and signed by the principal applicant if applicant has more than 5 dependents(whether accompanying or not)

I am confused whether to attach this form or not.

My earlier decision was not to submit and I think this is correct. Please suggest

Buddy is it really possible sending amendments without having a reference number from CIC?

And what are you sending? I think your copy of attested Birth certificate is fine because eventually it is attested.

Well, my head is running here and there, I assumed everyone is like me I have UCI. But even with having UCI, the CIC CS told me "we don't advise you to send complementary documents unless requested by a visa officer." So, it's a personal choice, I will send a freaking affidavit today I guess!
