hi friends, I sent my application on 14th May which was received on 21st of May. My CC was charged on 24th of July however I have yet not received any email from CIC. I talked to CIC agent and they gave me my UCI number. I applied under NOC 2147 and when I check eCAS, I get "In Process" and "We received your application for permanent residence on May 21, 2013". Does my application status look good or does this status mean nothing till the time I receive PER or something else? Please suggest.

Received my AOR today

I thought the same thing, but dont forget, CIC did not start to look at applications from May until 1 or 2 months later, and when they started to review them for stage 1, that's when they started to update the total numbers on the web site (in late June!). If they had started work on May applicants when they arrived in CIC, then of course, at the end of May they would have updated the web page and declared cap to be full. And as you know Immigration are slow as f**k!

This year credential assessment rule has benefited WES millions of dollars and still does. CIC did not inform anything about the Caps till late June. Just imagine how many applicants have sent their credentials for assessment since 17th April. Caps were reached for 1112 and 2174 by end of May, while we know a lot of people were applying under these 2 hot NOC's until 2 weeks ago when CIC informed us.
2147 might have reached its cap as well by end June, and CIC reported 5 applicants by that time. :-X :-X :-X
