hi friends, I sent my application on 14th May which was received on 21st of May. My CC was charged on 24th of July however I have yet not received any email from CIC. I talked to CIC agent and they gave me my UCI number. I applied under NOC 2147 and when I check eCAS, I get "In Process" and "We received your application for permanent residence on May 21, 2013". Does my application status look good or does this status mean nothing till the time I receive PER or something else? Please suggest.

It should be different i think it is case specific more than VO specific... Like if one candidate shows fund deposited in BAnk account with bank certy at the time of appication, than it likely draw attention of visa officer and it may ask for 6month statement at the time of processing at VO...

Bu at otherhand one shows BAnk FD of having maturity date much later like one year, And provided bank certy/affidavit than they might not ask for six month statement from candidate...As fund is irrespective of account available in FD form....

Buddy, I am in constant touch with my consultant. If u don't want to take my view, its ur view to reject it.
I have prepared myself to show proof of funds. If u don't want to show and later VO asks it then please ask local VO to show written proof or link at CIC where it is written to show proof of funds.
I would love to see local VO reply to your query at that time.

I agree with u but proof of fund is very important factor for selection.
If applicant has send account certificate instead of statement, local VO may ask for detailed statement.

It was my consultant who guided me to send 10th certificate as date of birth proof but when I asked the same question here in this forum everyone gave me negative reply and told that my application would be returned. Instead, it happened opposite and I got PER also.
Same is happening with "PROOF OF FUNDS" issue. When my consultant is telling me to show fund, forum members r saying opposite.
Even when I gave u 2011 links, u r still not taking it. There is no harm in prepaing urself in advance.

Okay, got it. Looking at the sheet right now and I can see that many have received PER. Just curious/worried why am I not received PER. Is it possible to speak with CIC agent again and find out PER? Would they be able to give me my PER or is their access limited to UCI only? Thanks
