I first applied on May 6 and then got the package back around June 10 or so. They received the new application on June 14.

UCI NO means first time when they open ur file, they assign uci no....if this was ur first time applying any visa to canada....uci doesnt means file check complete....

My understanding is,after your package is opened,UCI will be assignef,if it is the first time you apply any visa to CA,getting UCI only means you have made into cap 300, then CIC will check whether your application is complete.

I called yesterday as well, and they couldn't find me in the system. June 14 applicant.

I called them too yesterday, using the number that was posted here. After going through all the options, and waited 10 minutes, i finally spoke to someone. But the lady could not help, she said I have to contact Sydney to get any info about my file (which i haven't heard from CIC yet). She said even if she took my name and DOB, she still couldn't find it. So she emailed me the contact details, when I opened my email, it was just a link to the mailing address of Sydney office! what a complete waste of time and money!

I have already emailed CIC on 05/08/13, and today is the 20th day for reply (30/8). Still no news from them

I am June 15th, NOC 2174 applicant here BTW.

Usually..It will reflect in system after 7 days approx. so try after one week

we understand that cap if full...but if they email or return the package at the earliest, we can atleast put an end to the waiting game.
If we know for sure, our app is not considered, we can try out other options...CIC can at least send the rejection email at the earliest...donno why they are delaying it
